Book Godly Attitude Worldly Latitude

Download or read book Godly Attitude Worldly Latitude written by Robert A. Day Sr. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-10-02 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE WISDOM OF GOD'S ATTITUDE CONFOUNDS THE WISDOM OF HUMANKINDS ATTITUDE! How can we describe an abstract term like the word attitude and prescribe it in such a concrete way? The Word of God is the avenue to achieve this objective! The author explains how attitude is more than just positive or negative, but rather situational instead. Various attitude principles are discussed with stories of the bible in reference to each type of attitude being addressed. In Godly Attitude Worldly Latitude, R. A. Day, Sr., expounds upon earthly definitions of attitude with heavenly inspirations that show how Christians should be imitators of their Lord and Savior. This book is a far different read than the standard social psychological or business model interpretations of what an attitude should be in life. It cries out the mantra of not looking upon our own things, but upon the things of others; and letting this mind (or attitude) be in us which is in Christ Jesus. A broadened horizon of the attitudes of longitude, latitude, altitude, and many more attitudes will be achieved victoriously through the living out of these newfound principles. This is made possible through all the interpersonal relationship challenges and storms that life tends to throw our way.

Book Poetry Devotion for Attitude Promotion

Download or read book Poetry Devotion for Attitude Promotion written by Robert Anthony Day and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2009-10-20 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It's been a long time coming for a dynamic book of poetry, such as this. The project contains beautiful, faith-filled, biblically-related poetry that will touch the hearts of people from all walks of life. The poetry is written and expounded upon to reveal the author's beliefs and feelings; and when scripture is used, it reveals exactly what the bible is saying to people today on a myriad of different topics in our daily living. Your soul will be indeed lifted to a higher height, touched in such a gentle manner, taken to a deeper depth of knowledge, and moved beyond mountains while reading this devotional book of poetry and commentary. The author sets the tone of this book by being blatantly honest, but is fair, meek, and wise in his approach at explanations. He wants you to hear the "attitude," mindset, pulse, or disposition of your conscience while reading, in hopes that you won't want to put this work down on the coffee table until finished. The attitude principles or "truths" contained in the book are already provided in the Word of God, but are uniquely demonstrated through poetry arrangements in the context of having a great, Godly attitude through varying situations. Although a Christian poetry book, these concepts can be read and practiced by everyone from all communities, no matter what background all derive from or environment one may have been exposed to as a child, youth, teen or even an adult. This book is full of eye opening messages, but whatever is acquired from this work, it's the writer's heartfelt desire that you attain something uplifting about a positive "latitude of attitudes" to help in your daily journey. Hopefully, these poems will inspire you today to encourage yourself in the Lord, God!

Book Torah of Sin and Grace Second Edition

Download or read book Torah of Sin and Grace Second Edition written by Michael Tupek and published by Wipf and Stock Publishers. This book was released on 2016-07-21 with total page 146 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The role of the Torah is poorly understood within the religious communities of both Judaism and Christianity, but with varying causes. Its use in biblical salvation history is much more than the foundational text for Israelite existence, covenant, and stipulation. "Torah" is the Hebrew word for instruction, not law, and this sacred document contains, not only the well-known Abrahamic covenant of grace, but two core lessons: the serious nature of sin and the fearful necessity of transforming grace. Torah of Sin and Grace provides a fresh, honest, and careful examination of both the Torah and the relevant prophetic portions of the later Hebrew Bible, which will reveal the fact that the biblical writers themselves had a larger understanding of the role of the Torah, and that this understanding always incorporated the recognition of the failed Israelite covenant, resulting in the core lessons concerning the sinfulness of man and the supernatural grace that rescues him. Much of the book discusses the unfolding of this glorious rescuing grace for both Jew and Gentile, including the "new things" revealed by the prophets such as the new covenant, the Suffering Servant, the ingathering of the Gentiles, and the future of Israel and their land.

Book excerpt: A Transforming Knowledge of the Living God The timeless appeal of this classic book, written by a preacher with a worldwide ministry during the first half of the twentieth century, demonstrates the deep hunger for a saving knowledge of God present in each generation. Arthur Pink sought to give readers not just a theoretical knowledge of God but pointed them toward a personal relationship of yielding to him and living according to his biblical precepts. Pink's book explores attributes such as God's decrees, foreknowledge, sovereignty, holiness, grace, and mercy, among many others, all packaged in a style especially useful for pastors, teachers, and Bible students. Our God who is above all names cannot be found through human searching alone, Pink teaches, but can be known only as he is revealed by the Holy Spirit through his living Word.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A much neglected field of study has been opened by the research of the author into the history of the Christian church from its apostolic origins to the close of the eighteenth century. Taking as his thesis the prominence given to the Church in the Wilderness in Bible prophecy, and the fact that “‘the Church in the Wilderness,’ and not the proud hierarchy enthroned in the world’s great capital, was the true church of Christ,” he has spent years developing this subject. In its present form, Truth Triumphant represents much arduous research in the libraries of Europe as well as in America. Excellent ancient sources are most difficult to obtain, but the author has been successful in gaining access to many of them. To crystallize the subject matter and make the historical facts live in modem times, the author also made extensive travels throughout Europe and Asia. The doctrines of the primitive Christian church spread to Ireland, Scotland, and Wales. As grains of a mustard seed they lodged in the hearts of many Godly souls in southern France and northern Italy — people known as the Albigenses and the Waldenses. The faith of Jesus was valiantly upheld by the Church of the East. This term, as used by the author, not only includes the Syrian and Assyrian Churches, but is also the term applied to the development of apostolic Christianity throughout the lands of the East. The spirit of Christ, burning in the hearts of loyal men who would not compromise with paganism, sent them forth as missionaries to lands afar. Patrick, Columbanus, Marcos, and a host of others were missionaries to distant lands. They braved the ignorance of the barbarian, the intolerance of the apostate church leaders, and the persecution of the state in order that they might win souls to God. To unfold the dangers that were ever present in the conflict of the true church against error, to reveal the sinister working of evil and the divine strength by which men of God made truth triumphant, to challenge the Remnant Church today in its final controversy against the powers of evil, and to show the holy, unchanging message of the Bible as it has been preserved for t hose who will “fear God, and keep His commandments” — these are the sincere aims of the author as he presents this book to those who know the truth. MERLIN L. NEFF.
