Book If There s a Mailbox in Heaven

Download or read book If There s a Mailbox in Heaven written by Celeste N. Bowers and published by . This book was released on 2012-02 with total page 158 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Knowing her God was bigger than any cancer, my ten-year-old daughter, Christina, faced this tremendous obstacle with unwavering faith and a smile in her heart. There was no room for anger, and the question, Why me? would never be asked. Instead, this diagnosis was answered with, Use me. Use me, Lord, for Your Name and Your Glory! People ask me, "How do you do it? How do you watch your daughter walk through such a storm and then go on after she has passed away?" My answer is quite simple: How could I watch my own daughter carry her cross with such a sweet gentle spirit for Christ and not pick up and carry mine? Every moment of every day was a challenge. The only way to make it through was to lean on our Lord. With Christ, Christina turned a dismal situation into life lessons. With Christ, I go on and weather every storm that comes my way. Through Christ, I find the strength to share Christinas testimony with the world, praying that others will be changed and even saved by the grace of God if they dont know Him. In the end, the clouds will make way for a vibrant rainbow filled with Gods promises. In Christ, I write this book, knowing "If Theres A Mailbox In Heaven," I send all that is within me to my beloved daughter. Praise to Jesus Christ who is the reason I still have purpose! I pray my words bless and inspire all who read them. It is all for His Name and His glory.

White and published by Yesterday's World Publishing. This book was released on 2020-02-20 with total page 100 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "The Lord has shown me that Satan was once an honored angel in heaven, next to Jesus Christ. His countenance was mild, expressive of happiness like the other angels. His forehead was high and broad, and showed great intelligence. His form was perfect. He had noble, majestic bearing. And I saw that when God said to his Son, Let us make man in our image, Satan was jealous of Jesus. He wished to be consulted concerning the formation of man. He was filled with envy, jealousy and hatred. He wished to be the highest in heaven, next to God, and receive the highest honors. Until this time all heaven was in order, harmony and perfect subjection to the government of God."-Ellen G White

Book excerpt: Mothering is messy. Our joy and hope in raising children doesn’t change the reality that being a mom can be frustrating, stressful, and tiring. But just as God is using us to shape our children, God is using our children and motherhood to shape us. In The Better Mom, author Ruth Schwenk, herself a mother of four children, encourages us with the good news that there is more to being a mom than the extremes of striving for perfection or simply embracing the mess. We don’t need to settle for surviving our kids’ childhood. We can grow through it. With refreshing and heartfelt honesty Ruth emboldens moms to: Find freedom and walk confidently in purpose Create a God-honoring home environment Overcome unhealthy and destructive emotions such as anger, anxiety, and more Avoid glorifying the mess of mom-ing or idolizing perfection Cultivate life-giving friendships At the heart of The Better Mom is the message that Jesus calls us to live not a weary life, but a worthy life. We don’t have to settle for either being apathetic or struggling to be perfect. Both visions of motherhood go too far. Ruth offers a better option. She says, “It’s okay to come as we are, but what we’re called to do and be is far too important to stay there! The way to becoming a better mom starts not with what we are doing, but with who God is inviting us to become."

Book excerpt: Explore this stunning quality of God’s grace: It never ends! In this revision of a foundational work, John Piper reveals how grace is not only God’s undeserved gift to us in the past, but also God’s power to make good happen for us today, tomorrow, and forever. True life for the follower of Jesus really is a moment-by-moment trust that God is dependable and fulfills his promises. This is living by faith in future grace, which provides God's mercy, provision, and wisdom—everything we need—to accomplish his good plans for us. In Future Grace, chapter by chapter—one for each day of the month—Piper reveals how cherishing the promises of God helps break the power of persistent sin issues like anxiety, despondency, greed, lust, bitterness, impatience, pride, misplaced shame, and more. Ultimate joy, peace, and hope in life and death are found in a confident, continual awareness of the reality of future grace.

Book The Yeast of Yerushalaim

Download or read book The Yeast of Yerushalaim written by Jacob M. Van Zyl and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2007-10-22 with total page 398 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: THE YEAST OF YERUSHALAIM. Jesus said that the Kingdom of God is like yeast. As yeast is worked into the dough and changes its structure positively, so the gospel is dispersed into societies and changes them from the inside. To mix the yeast of the gospel into societies, Jesus sent His disciples out to make disciples of all nations: "You shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the end of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Jerusalem is pronounced Yerushalaim in Hebrew. In this city Jesus was crucified, raised from the dead, and ascended to heaven, and to this city He will return. In Jerusalem, the Holy Spirit came into the hearts of believers, inspiring them to spread the gospel worldwide. The Acts and letters of the apostles show how the yeast spread throughout the Roman empire in the first century. When the yeast of Yerushalaim has done its work, Christ will return to renew heaven, earth, and Jerusalem.
