Book God s Footprints in Personal Life Family Life and Ministry

Download or read book God s Footprints in Personal Life Family Life and Ministry written by Gide DA(c)mosthA"ne and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2024-02-12 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Following God's footsteps and the mystery of God's will in Christian life and walk can be a daunting task. Multitudes of voices, life choices, and sociocultural options and challenges make it hard for one to perceive and understand clearly when God is truly speaking and what does His message entails. Thus, like Abraham, it may require an absolute departure from the habitual way of life to a far-out city, country, or region where God can start with us anew. Also, we must be willing to surrender our will to God's will and follow in His footstep wherever He may lead in daily life. Now that requires self-sacrifice and applied humility--a practical death to self. At times it's about listening to God's voice through a moral, spiritual, or ministerial decision. Other times it's just about family life crises, or it can be regarding political or social issues. God's will happens when we commit to listen to His word and apply it to practical life effortlessly for His sake. This author lived through it all and acknowledges that God's will is about following in His footsteps in every area of life--however mysterious or difficult it may appear. God's purpose for our lives' journey is already set in heaven--surrendering to His purpose will lead to a very content, satisfying, and joyful life regardless the challenges we experience throughout our lifetime. This autobiography will challenge you to begin exploring God's footsteps in different facets of your own life and intentionally pursue His mysterious plan.

Book God s Footprints on a Farm Boy

Download or read book God s Footprints on a Farm Boy written by Lou Nicholes and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2013-01-01 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a modern day missionary story of an ordinary farm boy who grew up in the hills of southern Ohio. For the past fifty years he has literally traveled the world experiencing the thrills and excitement of sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ with people of all ages and from many cultures. His mother never imagined the day she gave birth to a 9 lb. 8 oz. blond headed, brown-eyed boy that he would one day stare down a gun barrel held by a masked man on the other side of the world. Especially when the man raised the gun a few inches over his head and fired it three times, then barked the orders that he get out of the van, he was in, and walk to the back of it where another masked man held a bundle of rope. I am sure your life will be challenged and your heart blessed as you read about how our God of miracles can take an introvert of the introverts and enable him to share Christ with hundreds of thousands of young people and adults from all cultures and backgrounds around the world. As you read the pages of this book think about how the God of the Bible loves you and wants to use you to touch the lives of people that need to know Jesus Christ as their Lord and Saviour. Lou Nicholes is a graduate of Philadelphia Biblical University. He has spent over 50 years serving the Lord with Word of Life Fellowship, first with Local Church Ministries as a missionary in the United States. He then started and directed a short-term missions program called Youth Reachout, taking over 2000 young people to 42 countries in 12 years. More recently he has been the Word of Life Asia Representative, traveling to various countries, recruiting potential staff, and helping establish new ministries while holding "Family Life" and "Mission Recruitment" seminars. Lou has authored a popular tract entitled "How to Get to Heaven From . . . " which is available in every state in the U.S. and several foreign countries and a Scripture Memory packet entitled "Memory Verses for Happy Homes." Lou and his wife, Thelma, are the parents of three married children and they have ten grandchildren. Presently all of the children and grandchildren are serving as missionaries, with Word of Life in Asia. Lou has also written a devotional commentary on every chapter in the Bible and it is available on the internet at www.Family-Times.net or you can have it sent to your e-mail each morning.

Book excerpt: As we travel down the road of experience we don't always understand why things happen the way they do. Sometimes the path is pleasant and, even though we are not sure what the day will bring, we are thankful for God's good gifts. On other occasions we are perplexed, shed tears, feel disheartened, discouraged or downcast. There are times when we have difficulty figuring out how to proceed; we feel paralyzed when calamity strikes. The road ahead would be far too difficult if we did not have the perspective of faith. The Lord takes us through the raging storm and cuts a path through the dense jungles of human experience. God's presence is not visible to the physical eye but He calls us to follow His unseen footprints. In 260 meditations, Unseen Footprints encourages the reader to listen for the sound of God's footsteps as He makes His way through history, and to follow His unseen footprints. Rev. Peter Feenstra is minister of the Grand Valley Canadian Reformed Church, Ontario. He has served this church since 2007. He also served as minister of the Owen Sound Canadian Reformed Church (October 1992-August 2007) and the Emmanuel Canadian Reformed Church at Guelph (October 1986-October 1992). He previously wrote: Submitting to One Another Out of Reverence for Christ, a series of sermons on marriage and family life. Unspeakable Comfort, a commentary on the Canons of Dort. Book Small Footprint Big Handprint

Download or read book Small Footprint Big Handprint written by Tri Robinson and published by Ampelon Publishing. This book was released on 2007-10 with total page 161 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: If we're not careful, our stuff can own us. Before we know it, we have high mortgages, high car payments and a lifestyle that we wished wasn't ours. What about those simpler times when technology didn't dictate our lives or when we weren't enslaved to making payment after payment? Author and pastor Tri Robinson has found that simple living for simplicity's sake isn't the answer. There must be a reason we all desire to render our lives down. As followers of Jesus, that innate desire within us to fall back into a simpler lifestyle is the yearning within us for our lives to count, to matter, to be part of something bigger than ourselves. When we render our lives down for the sake of the Gospel, we suddenly become more available to be used by God than ever before. Discover how you can put this biblical principle to work in your life and change the world around you!

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Taking inspiration from the Spanish word for retirement—jubilacion—veteran minister Bruce Epperly challenges and empowers clergy to see retirement as a celebration of new possibilities. Similar in spirit to the Jubilee year described in scripture, retirement can be a time of transformation and exploration, of freedom to try on new versions of yourself and new paths of service. In that spirit, clergy can embrace creative transformation in their relationships, neighborhoods, religious communities, and politics. No longer tethered to the politics and administrative duties of congregational leadership, they can now freely commit themselves to relational, intellectual, and spiritual growth. They can also focus on personal, community, and planetary healing and transformation. Retired clergy can become sages and wisdom givers sharing their insights and energy with seminarians and novice pastors, congregations, and communities. Bringing together the fruits of conversations with more than 100 retired clergy, theological reflection, and spiritual practices, this text provides a way forward for clergy considering retirement and retired clergy. Based on interviews from persons from diverse denominations, theological perspectives, and ethnic and racial backgrounds, this book garners wisdom from pastors on their retirement journeys, from personal preparation and public announcement to first steps following retirement and long-term adventures.

Book excerpt: The predominant message in our culture is that it's okay to have sex whenever, wherever, and however we want. Sex has become just sex. But while society has taken sex too far, the church hasn't taken it far enough. God wants couples to make love in marriage-with passion, with purpose, and with pleasure. Marriages aren't experiencing all the benefits that come from a healthy sex life. Couples are facing a barrage of influences that keep them from connecting with each other regularly-the kids, the career, the house, the errands, etc. SEXPERIMENT shows people that sex in marriage is more than just sex, and it's more than a chore. The Youngs believe it's time to get back to understanding the context of sex in marriage and that it's time for couples to break the barriers keeping them from a healthy sexual relationship. Couples ought to experience the benefits of having sex regularly, intentionally, and creatively. SEXPERIMENT will allow couples to discover that the intersection of God and sex can lead to a life punctuated by exclamation marks!

Book Valley Experiences with Mountaintop Blessings

Download or read book Valley Experiences with Mountaintop Blessings written by Rev. Dr. Walter L. Johnson and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-10-20 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book depicts my life traveling from childhood to adulthood. Because of my humbled spirit during my valley experiences, I received mountaintop blessings. My life is a living testimony that the goals that you set in life are achievable when you put God first in all that you do and maintain a positive attitude. The Bible teaches us that you become what you think of yourself. If you think negatively, you will not put forth the effort to become great. The Bible says, "So as a man thinks in his heart, so is he." God has used me as an instrument to help individuals in the church and in the community to recognize that with God in your life, you can be blessed abundantly. The late president John F. Kennedy said, "Think not what your country can do for you, but what you can do for your country." It is within the image and likeness of Christ not to think so much about one's self but to think about how you can help someone else. When you work to help others, God will bless you in the process. My inspiration for writing this book is to help individuals recognize that the goals they set in life are achievable with Christ in their lives. There are so many people without goals in life, and they are drifting with the tides of society. My advice to humanity is, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all other things will be added unto you." Set your goals, stay on course, and make the sacrifices to accomplish your goals. I pray that this book will inspire those who read it and humble their spirits by allowing God to guide their footprints here on earth. It is important to realize that with God in your life, all things are possible.

Book A Seasonal Footprint

Download or read book A Seasonal Footprint written by Lucille L Turfrey and published by Austin Macauley Publishers. This book was released on 2023-08-18 with total page 284 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: My journey has been of global proportions. The sometimes spectacular, sometimes sombre, often-times splendid, at times spiritual, most times satisfying, brings perspective to the distinctive scenes each season displays. Each holds its own ‘colours’. A viewing of the ever-changing landscape emphasises the where, the what and the when. But, when the traveller pauses to reflect upon an exploration, an event, the deeper meanings of life may surface in the how and the why of personal experience. A journey becomes a pilgrimage when one’s life goal is placed in the knapsack. This book offers a personal reflection on a ‘journey’ that is still on-track to ultimate reality.
