Book excerpt: Let us imagine that Jesus walked among us today, really could you imagine! What lifestyle would He choose to live? Would He choose to live in splendor? Or Would Jesus exhibit simple, humble, loving servant like qualities (the Carpenter), as we know Him in our bible readings? Jesus fed the hungry, clothes the needy and was the vessel of truth. Jesus came as a vessel, chosen to set an example, to bring love, grace and redemption. Yet, Jesus has ascended and is seated at the right hand of the Father. Jesus came to introduce Gods provision; Gods plan, not to forsaken anyone, all should receive the things that are needed for daily living. God made a plan to supply all of our needs. There is a provision to take care of all humankind on the earth. Through the servant-ship of chosen vessels, a plan of survival for humankinds has been put into place. God loves, shows compassion, and gives freely, as it is Gods plan that we honor the commandment to love thy neighbor as thyself. This is only one of the two most important commandments; the first commandment is to Love God with your whole heart (to have no god before Him), and the second is to love your neighbor as yourself. How does God desire that we give and share with our fellow man (neighbor)? God chose or gifted individuals with the abilities to manage substantial sums of money, and to discern the needs of others. To always give, lovingly and unconditionally, as God gives freely; desiring that as we will give freely. As we transform our lives to become more like Jesus, to give our time, talent, and resources as a part of the commitment to living in Christ. As we enter into the last days, the gift of giving will manifest, as we reach out to help families of believers and unbelievers. The last days will be a time where many will need God; spiritually, materially, physically and emotionally, and all needs should be met. As we give freely to unbelievers and believers; it will reveal Gods grace and love for all people. Humbly, all should aspire to be like Jesus, to reflect on Gods love for our fellow man and give, unconditionally? As the reference scripture reveals in Gods Word --- in Matthew 25: 45 42 For I was hungry and you gave me nothing to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me nothing to drink, 43 I was a stranger and you did not invite me in, I needed clothes and you did not clothe me, I was sick and in prison and you did not look after me. 44 They also will answer, Lord, when did we see you hungry or thirsty or a stranger or needing clothes or sick or in prison, and did not help you? 45 He will reply, Truly I tell you, whatever you did not do for one of the least of these; you did not do for me.

Drawing from the biblical narrative of Jeremiah 1:5, which states, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations," this book invites readers to reflect on the truth that each person is intentionally created and uniquely gifted by God for a specific purpose. Book excerpt: Often-times, God uses Christians to accomplish and execute his plans on earth. The scriptures referred to us as God’s battle-ax and weapons of war. Even though all Christians are called with the potentials to achieve greater things in God’s kingdom, only few are been used by God, why? “Many are called, but few are chosen.” Why should God call many, when only few would be chosen? Due to immaturity, many Christians have had their calling and mandate given to their contemporary, while some are rarely used by God. Why should some vessels be fully utilized and many are rarely used? What is the secret to maximum utilization of a vessel in God’s kingdom? The Almighty God has a standard, the criteria or qualification to measure an individual vessel before entrusting him or her with divine assignments. A Christian’s spiritual maturity, commitment to God and His kingdom’s affair, the desire to please God at all times, and obedience to His word are some of the things that qualify a person to be a vessel of honor. Is there any hope for a vessel of dishonor? What could transform a vessel of dishonor to a vessel of honor? This book is a must read for all heaven-bound Christians.

Book It s Not About You It s About God

Download or read book It s Not About You It s About God written by Rebecca Florence Osaigbovo and published by InterVarsity Press. This book was released on 2010-02-04 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It can hurt to hear someone tell it like it is. But sometimes you need to get the truth, straight up. And the truth is that it's not about you--it's about God. Maybe you have relied on your own strength for far too long. You haven't been able to count on other people, so you just do your own thing. But God has bigger plans for you. God wants to use you to change the world. Rebecca Osaigbovo, conference speaker and author of Chosen Vessels, shows how black women can stand up to Satan's lies and face tough problems, not in your own strength but by finding God's strength in the midst of your weaknesses. She says this to women who want to be the keys to change in their homes, churches and communities: "If you want things to be different, then stop going your own way and follow God's lead. Lean not on your own understanding, and he'll make your paths straight."
