However, he fails, and the plan goes on, resulting in a happy and successful adoption of a second child. The underlying message of this story is that everything seems to be supernaturally connected and that we all have blessings that are waiting to be discovered. But to truly get them (or at least see they are there), we must have faith to make the choices that lead to them.
