Book excerpt: The atmosphere is electric, the pitch an impossibly brilliant shade of green and Spurs, in all-white of course, are playing with that famous swashbuckling style, zipping the ball off the greasy surface with devastating precision and purpose. Their quick-passing game rips open the usually immaculately drilled defence of their illustrious European opponents and, as the ball hits the back of the net, White Hart Lane erupts in a thunderous, jubilant roar which echoes with magical memories from 50 years of fantastic, floodlit European evenings - the glory glory nights! European football has a special resonance at Tottenham Hotspur. The spirit of adventure, the romance of taking on the very best, matching their style and technique and, when it all goes to plan, blowing them away with skill, pace and passion, has always fitted in exactly with what Spurs are all about. To dare is to do! In 1963 Spurs became the first British team ever to win a European trophy when they beat Atletico Madrid to lift the European Cup Winners' Cup, and in total the club has won three trophies across more than 50 seasons of European campaigns. The Glory Glory Nights tells the story of every one of them - from the first competitive foray onto foreign fields when Bill Nick took the great Double side into the unknown of the European Cup to Bale, Modric, and van der Vaart marauding their way to the quarter-finals of the Champions League in 2010. The complete and official story of Tottenham Hotspur in Europe, this beautifully put-together book is packed with spectacular photography, much of it previously unseen, match reports and statistics from every European game the club has ever played, plus first-hand memories and recollections from club legends like Danny Blanchflower, Jimmy Greaves, Steve Perryman, Martin

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book has a dual purpose. The first is to present a biography of Yamato Ichihashi, a Stanford University professor who was one of the first academics of Asian ancestry in the United States. The second purpose is to present, through Ichihashi’s wartime writings, the only comprehensive first-person account of internment life by one of the 120,000 persons of Japanese ancestry who, in 1942, were sent by the U.S. government to “relocation centers,” the euphemism for prison camps. Arriving in the United States from Japan in 1894, when he was sixteen, Ichihashi attended public school in San Francisco, graduated from Stanford University, and received a doctorate from Harvard University. He began teaching at Stanford in 1913, specializing in Japanese history and government, international relations, and the Japanese American experience. He remained at Stanford until he and his wife, Kei, were forced to leave their campus home for a series of internment camps, where they remained until the closing days of the war.

They hunger to experience the glory of God they’ve only read about in the Bible. Joshua Mills believes that all Christians are intended to live, move, and operate within what he calls "glory realms." Now Joshua opens up God's glory by explaining the different realms, spheres, and dimensions of the kingdom. He systematically builds a faith framework in which the reader can begin to move into the glory of God with ease. Joshua breaks down our understanding of God’s glory into three parts: first, moving in the Spirit, which is about understanding the different dynamics of faith, anointing, and God’s glory; second, moving in the supernatural by recalibrating ourselves to heaven’s frequency, working with angels, and accessing the highest power of God’s glory so that the miraculous dimension begins to manifest; and third, moving in the heavenlies, dealing with spiritual travel and prophetic encounters, manifesting divine abundance, and living in heavenly revelation. Throughout, Joshua shares many unusual and extraordinary testimonies of God’s glory working through uncommon signs and wonders, heavenly experiences, angelic appearances, and other manifestations of the miraculous, Through his dynamic teaching and powerful testimonies, Joshua will not only help you understand God’s glory, he’ll also guide you into experiencing and walking in the glory every day.
