  • Author : Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad
  • Publisher : Islam International
  • Release : 2010
  • ISBN : 1848800533
  • Pages : 49 pages

Download or read book A Gift for An Nadwah written by Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad and published by Islam International. This book was released on 2010 with total page 49 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "How can a false claimant of Prophethood be likened to me? I have been supported by numerous miracles. My success is from God and is a fulfillment of His promises. It is not within the control of any human being." To this simple message is "A Gift For An-Nadwah" dedicated. In this short and incisive tract, Hazrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) responds to the contention made by Hafiz Muhammad Yusuf that even false claimants of Prophethood can establish successful missions. Through the use of this critique Muhammad Yusuf hoped to undermine the success of the Promised Messiah(as). With strong, reasoned arguments Hadrat Mirza Ghulam Ahmad(as) deconstructs this thesis and exposes its inherent flaws and defects. He argues that false prophets can never succeed and that to hold such beliefs is a direct contradiction of the teachings of Islam. Instead, the triumph of God's Messengers is a miracle and a Divine sign in support of their truth. The principle audience of this work were the ulema of An-Nadwah who were called on by Hafiz Muhammad Yusuf to judge the merits of these contending claims.

Book excerpt: Those who practice the Muslim faith have resisted examinations of their religion. They are extremely guarded about their religion, and what they consider blasphemous acts by skeptical Muslims and non-Muslims alike has only served to pique the world's curiosity. This critical examination reveals an unflattering picture of the faith and its practitioners. Nevertheless, it is the truth, something that has either been deliberately concealed by modern scholars or buried in obscure journals accessible only to a select few.

Download or read book iMuslims written by Gary R. Bunt and published by Univ of North Carolina Press. This book was released on 2009-04-30 with total page 375 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Exploring the increasing impact of the Internet on Muslims around the world, this book sheds new light on the nature of contemporary Islamic discourse, identity, and community. The Internet has profoundly shaped how both Muslims and non-Muslims perceive Islam and how Islamic societies and networks are evolving and shifting in the twenty-first century, says Gary Bunt. While Islamic society has deep historical patterns of global exchange, the Internet has transformed how many Muslims practice the duties and rituals of Islam. A place of religious instruction may exist solely in the virtual world, for example, or a community may gather only online. Drawing on more than a decade of online research, Bunt shows how social-networking sites, blogs, and other "cyber-Islamic environments" have exposed Muslims to new influences outside the traditional spheres of Islamic knowledge and authority. Furthermore, the Internet has dramatically influenced forms of Islamic activism and radicalization, including jihad-oriented campaigns by networks such as al-Qaeda. By surveying the broad spectrum of approaches used to present dimensions of Islamic social, spiritual, and political life on the Internet, iMuslims encourages diverse understandings of online Islam and of Islam generally.

Since the purpose of the advent of the Promised Messiah(as) was to propagate the Unity of God and His message, he found a way to serve those objectives at that occasion. He published the booklet Tohfa-e-Qaisariyyah on May 25, 1897. In addition to felicitating Her Majesty, the Promised Messiah(as) made the following points with great subtlety and wisdom: 1. Truthfulness of the Holy Prophet Muhammad(sa). 2. Truthfulness of Islam and its teachings that can bring about international peace. 3. A proposal for Her Majesty to organise a conference of great religions. 4. A strong plea for Her Majesty to clear Hazrat Isa(as) (Jesus) of the accusation of having been cursed. 5. An undertaking to show a sign of his own truthfulness, provided that Her Majesty would agree to accept his message in case of fulfilment – adding that he would accept death penalty if he is unable to show a convincing sign.
