In Deutschland, einem Land mit einer reichen industriellen Tradition, finden diese Veränderungen auf allen Ebenen der Gesellschaft und insbesondere in Unternehmen statt. Die traditionelle Vorstellung von Arbeitsplätzen, die durch feste Strukturen und Präsenz geprägt sind, weicht einem flexibleren und entgrenzten Arbeitsumfeld. Dieser Wandel birgt sowohl Chancen als auch Herausforderungen für Arbeitnehmende sowie für Unternehmen selbst. Betriebliches Gesundheitsmanagement (BGM) rückt in diesem Kontext zunehmend in den Fokus, da es eine ganzheitliche Perspektive auf die Gesundheit am Arbeitsplatz bietet. Doch während Unternehmen verstärkt Maßnahmen der Betrieblichen Gesundheitsförderung (BGF) umsetzen, bleibt eine gezielte Gesundheitskultur oft aus, was zeigt, dass es noch an einer umfassenden Implementierung von Gesundheitszielen mangelt. Die Verlagerung vieler Arbeitsplätze ins Home-Office, beschleunigt durch die Pandemie, hat sowohl positive als auch negative Auswirkungen auf die Arbeitnehmer. Während die Flexibilität und Zeitersparnis durch das Arbeiten von zu Hause aus begrüßt werden, können auch neue Belastungen und Konflikte entstehen, insbesondere durch die Verschmelzung von Arbeits- und Privatleben. Die vorliegende Arbeit zielt darauf ab, mittels einer systematischen Literaturrecherche die Potenziale und gesundheitlichen Risiken der Arbeitswelt 4.0 und der Konzepte von New Work für Arbeitnehmende aufzuzeigen. Dabei werden nicht nur die Veränderungen und Entwicklungen in den Arbeitswelten verglichen, sondern auch die aktuellen Ansätze im Betrieblichen Gesundheitsmanagement betrachtet. Zudem wird der Einfluss der Digitalisierung auf die Arbeitsbedingungen sowie die damit verbundenen Datenschutzaspekte beleuchtet. In Anbetracht dieser komplexen Thematik stellt sich die zentrale Frage dieser Arbeit: Wie wirkt sich die Belastung durch die Arbeitswelt 4.0 auf die Arbeitnehmerinnen und Arbeitnehmer in der Unternehmenskultur in Deutschland aus? Durch eine fundierte Analyse und Diskussion der vorliegenden Ergebnisse sollen Erkenntnisse gewonnen werden, die nicht nur das Verständnis für diese dynamische Arbeitswelt vertiefen, sondern auch Ansatzpunkte für zukünftige Maßnahmen zur Verbesserung der Arbeitsbedingungen liefern.
