So enthält schon die erste eine gegenüber 1817 wesentlich konkretisierte Philosophie der Sittlichkeit, die zweite eine erneuerte Paragraphen-Einteilung und die dritte, durch zwei Nachschriften überlieferte Vorlesung in fortlaufendem Text den im Kontext der "Karlsbader Beschlüsse" von 1819 aufschlußreichen Entwicklungsstand im unmittelbaren Vorfeld der "Grundlinien". – Der zweite Teilband wird die Nachschriften zu den auf die "Grundlinien" folgenden Vorlesungen sowie den Editorischen Bericht und die Anmerkungen enthalten.
