The main purpose of this research is to verify the aplication of electrolvel gauges ingeothecnical instrumentation program and to develop specific procedure of assembly, calibration, installation and interpretation. This instrumentation technique in spite of beinginternationally established is still of restricted use in our country. Results obtained in twolarge concrete face rockfill dams (Xingo and TSQ-1) are presented.
