La esencia de la geopol?tica se enfoca en el estudio de las influencias, que determinados factores geogr?ficos ejercen sobre la pol?tica externa e interna de los pueblos y Estados. En esencia, todas las guerras han gravitado alrededor de intereses y objetivos geopol?ticos, acordes con los entornos pol?ticos, religiosos, militares y cient?ficos de cada etapa de la historia de la humanidad. Por lo tanto, sin importar su orientaci?n ideol?gica, el terrorismo del siglo XXI, no es la excepci?n, porque es una guerra asim?trica con objetivos estrat?gicos. En ese orden de ideas, si la geopol?tica implica la existencia de un terreno como base geogr?fica s?lida correlativa con una ideolog?a pol?tica sustentada en un plan estrat?gico, para diseminar una l?nea cultural de pensamiento y acci?n; entonces el terrorismo isl?mico, justificado por sus gestores para construir con la Umma (comunidad isl?mica) un califato universal; es una versi?n novedosa de proyecci?n geopol?tica, dentro de una ciencia nueva, que se relaciona con la estrategia, la defensa nacional, y lo que Samuel Huntington denomin? el choque de civilizaciones, por irreparables diferencias culturales y religiosas. El terrorismo isl?mico tiene profundas connotaciones geopol?ticas, porque articula la territorialidad del sagrado suelo del islam con el funda-mentalismo yihadista, para iniciar la difusi?n hacia el resto del planeta, de los credos del profeta Mahoma con base en el wahabismo sunita o el integrismo chiita, con el fin de convertir a su credo extremista, a los llamados infieles de otras religiones o los ap?statas musulmanes que no abrazan el islamismo yihadista. El terrorismo afecta amplios espacios geopol?ticos, porque por regla general las acciones terroristas apuntan contra objetivos pol?tico-estrat?gicos de alto nivel, afectan con reiterada incidencia a la poblaci?n civil y ponen en entredicho las medidas de seguridad policiales y militares, para garantizar la seguridad nacional y local. Por ende, la geopol?tica del terrorismo obliga a los gobernantes de los pa?ses afectados a actuar de manera conjunta, integrar esfuerzos preventivos de inteligencia militar, conformar alianzas y realizar operaciones simult?neas, combinadas o conjuntas. La din?mica de la violencia yihadista en los cinco continentes indica que los principales grupos terroristas isl?micos Isis, Al Qaeda, los Talib?n y Hizbol? con sus respectivas ramificaciones, realizan presencia geogr?fica, pol?tica, social, econ?mica, armada y cultural dentro de las comunidades musulmanas. El terrorismo es el empleo de m?todos irregulares violentos asim?tricos contra objetivos estrat?gicos, que buscan demoledores efectos sicol?gicos, negativos en la moral combativa del adversario pol?tico-militar, con los que por lo general resulta afectada la poblaci?n civil, debido a los denominados efectos colaterales. As?, la obra Geopol?tica del terrorismo isl?mico se constituye en un texto de obligatoria lectura para polit?logos, militares, cuerpos diplom?ticos, soci?logos, historiadores, ge?grafos, analistas pol?ticos, internacionalistas, gobernantes, industriales, comerciantes, cuerpos de polic?a, organismos de investigaci?n y seguridad nacional, pero adem?s por la facilidad de la comprensi?n de la lectura es un libro de cultura general que no puede faltar en la biblioteca de todo buen lector.

Degrowth, understood as both social theory and social movement, has emerged within the context of this global crisis.
