He married Margaret Foster, daughter of Andrew Foster and Eliza Briggs, 30 October 1858 in Bloomington, McLean County, Illinois. They had eleven children. Descendants and ancestors lived mainly in Ohio, Iowa, Colorado, Wyoming, Illinois, California and Oregon. Includes Redding and other related families.
