Book Pussypedia

  • Author : Zoe Mendelson
  • Publisher : Hachette Go
  • Release : 2021-08-03
  • ISBN : 0306924293
  • Pages : 288 pages

Download or read book Pussypedia written by Zoe Mendelson and published by Hachette Go. This book was released on 2021-08-03 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Written by the creators of the popular website, this rigorously fact-checked, accessible, and fully illustrated guide is essential for anyone with a pussy. If the clitoris and penis are the same size on average, why is the word “small” in the definition of clitoris but strangely missing from the definition of penis? Sex probably doesn't cause yeast infections? But racism probably does cause BV? Why is masturbating so awesome? How hairy are butt cracks . . . generally? Why is labiaplasty on a global astronomical rise? Does egg freezing really work? Should I stick an egg-shaped rock up there or nah? There is still a shocking lack of accurate, accessible information about pussies and many esteemed medical sources seem to contradict each other. Pussypedia solves that with extensive reviews of peer-reviewed science that address old myths, confusing inconsistencies, and the influence of gender narratives on scientific research––always in simple, joyful language. Through over 30 chapters, Pussypedia not only gives the reader information, but teaches them how to read science, how to consider information in its context, and how to accept what we don't know rather than search for conclusions. It also weaves in personal anecdotes from the authors and their friends––sometimes funny, sometimes sad, often cringe-worthy, and always extremely personal––to do away with shame and encourage curiosity, exploration, and agency. A gift for your shy niece, your angsty teenager, your confused boyfriend, or yourself. Our generation's Our Bodies, Ourselves, with a healthy dose of fun.

When the school’s barely-a-basketball-team unexpectedly attempts to recruit her, Charlie’s adamant that she’s left that life behind...until she’s won over by the charming team captain, Liv, and the ragtag crew she’s managed to assemble. And while Charlie may have left the cut-throat world of competitive basketball in the dust, sinking these hoops may be exactly what she needs to find the person she truly wants to be. Book An Adult Coloring Book for Gay Men Gay Paintings

Download or read book An Adult Coloring Book for Gay Men Gay Paintings written by Associate Provost and Dean of the Graduate School Scott Shannon, M.D. and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2015-09-09 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Millions of adults around the world have started to color again in the past couple of years. A lot of the books are just geometric patterns that some people claim relieve stress. I think they do, at least for me. As adults we may, only if we choose, color within the lines. I wanted this coloring book to be different from most of the other coloring books for adults. I'd like you to be able to create real art from your coloring; art that may be framed and hung on the wall. To make that possible I found 38 pieces of art from the 19th and 20th centuries. These are paintings and a few drawings that deal with gay themes. I also left most of the drawings with texture and shading so that they will be a cut above the usual finished coloring page. You won't find a lot of big penises in this art like you might find in modern fantasy gay art. And I believe you'll recognize a great deal of this art as porno for wealthy Victorian gentlemen. Scott Shannon is a freelance artist and graphic designer.

Book The Sense of Brown

Download or read book The Sense of Brown written by José Esteban Muñoz and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2020-08-24 with total page 135 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Sense of Brown is José Esteban Muñoz's treatise on brownness and being as well as his most direct address to queer Latinx studies. In this book, which he was completing at the time of his death, Muñoz examines the work of playwrights Ricardo Bracho and Nilo Cruz, artists Nao Bustamante, Isaac Julien, and Tania Bruguera, and singer José Feliciano, among others, arguing for a sense of brownness that is not fixed within the racial and national contours of Latinidad. This sense of brown is not about the individualized brown subject; rather, it demonstrates that for brown peoples, being exists within what Muñoz calls the brown commons—a lifeworld, queer ecology, and form of collectivity. In analyzing minoritarian affect, ethnicity as a structure of feeling, and brown feelings as they emerge in, through, and beside art and performance, Muñoz illustrates how the sense of brown serves as the basis for other ways of knowing and being in the world.

Book The Art Of Seduction

Download or read book The Art Of Seduction written by Robert Greene and published by Profile Books. This book was released on 2010-09-03 with total page 496 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Which sort of seducer could you be? Siren? Rake? Cold Coquette? Star? Comedian? Charismatic? Or Saint? This book will show you which. Charm, persuasion, the ability to create illusions: these are some of the many dazzling gifts of the Seducer, the compelling figure who is able to manipulate, mislead and give pleasure all at once. When raised to the level of art, seduction, an indirect and subtle form of power, has toppled empires, won elections and enslaved great minds. In this beautiful, sensually designed book, Greene unearths the two sides of seduction: the characters and the process. Discover who you, or your pursuer, most resembles. Learn, too, the pitfalls of the anti-Seducer. Immerse yourself in the twenty-four manoeuvres and strategies of the seductive process, the ritual by which a seducer gains mastery over their target. Understand how to 'Choose the Right Victim', 'Appear to Be an Object of Desire' and 'Confuse Desire and Reality'. In addition, Greene provides instruction on how to identify victims by type. Each fascinating character and each cunning tactic demonstrates a fundamental truth about who we are, and the targets we've become - or hope to win over. The Art of Seduction is an indispensable primer on the essence of one of history's greatest weapons and the ultimate power trip. From the internationally bestselling author of The 48 Laws of Power, Mastery, and The 33 Strategies Of War.

Book Professing Selves

    Book Details:
  • Author : Afsaneh Najmabadi
  • Publisher : Duke University Press
  • Release : 2014-03-14
  • ISBN : 0822377292
  • Pages : 433 pages

Download or read book Professing Selves written by Afsaneh Najmabadi and published by Duke University Press. This book was released on 2014-03-14 with total page 433 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the mid-1980s, the Islamic Republic of Iran has permitted, and partially subsidized, sex reassignment surgery. In Professing Selves, Afsaneh Najmabadi explores the meaning of transsexuality in contemporary Iran. Combining historical and ethnographic research, she describes how, in the postrevolutionary era, the domains of law, psychology and psychiatry, Islamic jurisprudence, and biomedicine became invested in distinguishing between the acceptable "true" transsexual and other categories of identification, notably the "true" homosexual, an unacceptable category of existence in Iran. Najmabadi argues that this collaboration among medical authorities, specialized clerics, and state officials—which made transsexuality a legally tolerated, if not exactly celebrated, category of being—grew out of Iran's particular experience of Islamicized modernity. Paradoxically, state regulation has produced new spaces for non-normative living in Iran, since determining who is genuinely "trans" depends largely on the stories that people choose to tell, on the selves that they profess.

Book Our Own Private Universe

Download or read book Our Own Private Universe written by Robin Talley and published by Harlequin. This book was released on 2017-01-31 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Fifteen-year-old Aki Simon has a theory. And it's mostly about sex. No, it isn't that kind of theory. Aki already knows she's bisexual—even if, until now, it's mostly been in the hypothetical sense. Aki has dated only guys so far, and her best friend, Lori, is the only person who knows she likes girls, too. Actually, Aki's theory is that she's got only one shot at living an interesting life—and that means she's got to stop sitting around and thinking so much. It's time for her to actually do something. Or at least try. So when Aki and Lori set off on a church youth-group trip to a small Mexican town for the summer and Aki meets Christa—slightly older, far more experienced—it seems her theory is prime for the testing. But it's not going to be easy. For one thing, how exactly do two girls have sex, anyway? And more important, how can you tell if you're in love? It's going to be a summer of testing theories—and the result may just be love.
