Book FY96 Command Control Communications and Intelligence C3I Technology Area Plan

Download or read book FY96 Command Control Communications and Intelligence C3I Technology Area Plan written by and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 48 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: To control and exploit air and space requires that the Air Force have properly trained people, superior equipment and the right information - at the right place and at the right time - concerning its own forces and those of any adversary. For this reason, C31 is more important than ever, and a critical element to ensuring the Air Force can fulfill its mission. Our military forces, although reduced in size must be highly flexible, globally responsive, and at times deadly precise. They must operate successfully in high threat, high technology environments. and in new missions such as humanitarian assistance. With revolutionary C31 technologies, we can respond accurately and effectively to the rapidly changing international scene. With innovative technologies, we can control the increasing instability of the battlefield and overwhelm the increasing sophistication of our adversaries. Our vision is simple. We want to ensure that our warfighters have total control and a comprehensive view of the battlefield. We will give our warfighters access to whatever data they need and will ensure that It's up to date and accurate.

Book Principles of Military Communications for C3I Command Control Communications and Intelligence

Download or read book Principles of Military Communications for C3I Command Control Communications and Intelligence written by Dale E. Fincke and published by . This book was released on 1986 with total page 86 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper attempts to develop a coherent group of previously uncodified basic concepts, military communications principles, to provide qualitative theoretical linkage in support of the tenets of U.S. AirLand Battle Doctrine. Further, the proposed communications principles are neither technology dependent nor combat operations inhibiting, but should govern the development and implementation of communications in support of command, control, communications and intelligence (C3I) at the tactical and operational levels of war. TO ensure requisite C3I communications, basic concepts must be both rigorous and clear. The five (5) operational principles presented in this paper -- continunity, homogeneity, versatility, security and simplicity -- present a starting point for the development of military communication theory in support of current operational doctrine, and are supported by historical antecedents. Along with each operational principle the supporting subordinate elements and their associated qualitative criterion are developed and presented. Finally, a chapter on implications for system design describes a conceptual military communications system found on the principles developed and discussed in this paper. (Author).

To achieve the primary study goal, development of a robust EMC assessment methodology, the effort was divided into six conceptual phases. (1) Bounding the Problem, (2) Investigating Existing Methodologies, (3) Formulating the Assessment Methodology, (4) Developing a Baseline Database, (5) Performing a Baseline EMC Assessment, and (6) Modifying the Database and Fine Tuning the Methodology.
