It is characterized through three memberships, T, I and F, such that these independent functions stand for the truth, indeterminate, and false-membership degrees of an object. The neutrosophic set presents a symmetric form since truth enrolment T is symmetric to its opposite false enrolment F with respect to indeterminacy enrolment I that acts as an axis of symmetry. The neutrosophic set was further extended to a Q-neutrosophic soft set, which is a hybrid model that keeps the features of the neutrosophic soft set in dealing with uncertainty, and the features of a Q-fuzzy soft set that handles two-dimensional information. In this study, we discuss some operations of Q-neutrosophic soft sets, such as subset, equality, complement, intersection, union, AND operation, and OR operation.

Here, we define the AND, OR, Truth-Favorite, and False-Favorite operators along with their properties. Also, we define the necessity and possibility of operations for them. Later on, to extend it to solve the decision-making problems, we define some information measures such as distance, similarity, and correlation coefficient for the generalized multipolar neutrosophic soft set. Several desirable properties and their relationship between them are derived. Finally, based on these information measures, a decision-making algorithm is stated under the neutrosophic environment to tackle the uncertain and vague information.

Book excerpt: In this study, the tools that measure the similarity, distance and the degree of fuzziness of Q-neutrosophic soft sets are presented. The definitions of distance, similarity and measures of entropy are introduced. Some formulas for Q-neutrosophic soft entropy were presented. The known Hamming, Euclidean and their normalized distances are generalized to make them well matched with the idea of Q-neutrosophic soft set. The distance measure is subsequently used to define the measure of similarity. Lastly, we expound three applications of the measures of Q-neutrosophic soft sets by applying entropy and the similarity measure to a medical diagnosis and decision making problems.

Book excerpt: To address issues involving inconsistencies, this paper proposes a stochastic multi-criteria group decision making algorithm based on neutrosophic soft sets, which includes a pair of asymmetric functions: Truth-membership and false-membership, and an indeterminacy membership function. For integrating an inherent stochastic, the algorithm expresses the weights of decision makers and parameter subjective weights by neutrosophic numbers instead of determinate values. Additionally, the algorithm is guided by the prospect theory, which incorporates psychological expectations of decision makers into decision making. To construct the prospect decision matrix, this research establishes a conflict degree measure of neutrosophic numbers and improves it to accommodate the stochastic multi-criteria group decision making. Moreover, we introduce the weighted average aggregation rule and weighted geometric aggregation rule of neutrosophic soft sets. Later, this study presents an algorithm for neutrosophic soft sets in the stochastic multi-criteria group decision making based on the prospect theory. Finally, we perform an illustrative example and a comparative analysis to prove the effectiveness and feasibility of the proposed algorithm.

On the other hand Rough set (RS) theory and Neutrosophic set (NS) theory both rising as a powerful tool to handle these uncertain, incomplete, inconsistent and imprecise information in an effective manner. Actually Neutrosophic set is a generalization of intuitionistic fuzzy set. Sometimes it is not possible to handle all sorts of uncertain problems with a single mathematical tool. Fusion of two or more mathematical tools give rise to a new mathematical concept which gives an idea how to solve such type of problems in a more sophisticated ways. Which leads to the introduction of fuzzy soft set, rough soft set, intuitionistic fuzzy soft set, soft rough set etc. Neutrosophic soft set (NSS) was established by combining the concept of Soft set and Neutrosophic set. In this paper, using the concept of Rough set and Neutrosophic soft set a new concept known as Rough neutrosophic soft set (RNSS) is developed. Some properties and operations on them are introduced.

In this paper, some new similarity measures of single-valued neutrosophic sets (SVNSs) and interval-valued neutrosophic sets (IVNSs) are defined based on the Euclidean distance measure, respectively, and the proposed similarity measures satisfy the axiom of the similarity measure. Furthermore, we apply the proposed similarity measures to medical diagnosis decision problem; the numerical example is used to illustrate the feasibility and effectiveness of the proposed similarity measures of SVNSs and IVNSs, which are then compared to other existing similarity measures.
