It is both a forestry book and a plant pathology book. The first section deals with general topics and principles, including both abiotic causes and biotic causes such as fungi, bacteria, mycoplasms, and viruses. The second section presents the details of particular forest diseases and offers practical management suggestions.

Book Development of Ectomycorrhizae Growth Nutrient Status and Outplanting Perfomance of Loblolly Pine Seedlings Grown in Soil Infested with Pisolithus Tinctorius and Thelephora Terrestris Under Diferent Fertilization Regimes

Download or read book Development of Ectomycorrhizae Growth Nutrient Status and Outplanting Perfomance of Loblolly Pine Seedlings Grown in Soil Infested with Pisolithus Tinctorius and Thelephora Terrestris Under Diferent Fertilization Regimes written by T. L. Krugner and published by . This book was released on 1976 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Development of Ectomycorrhizae, Growth, nutrient status, and Outplanting performance of Loblolly Pine Seedlings Grown in Soil infested with Pisolithus tinctorius and Thelephora terrestris Under Different Fertilization Regimes.(Under the direction of L.F. Grand, C.B. Davey and D.H. Marx). Vegetative inocula of Pisolithus tinctorius and Thelephora terrestris were used to artificially infest fumigated soil and form ectomycorrizae with 145 Kg N/ha and 145, 50, and 100 Kg NPK/ha stimulated development of ectomycorrhizae formed by P.tinctorius on seedlings inoculated with P.tinctorius by at least twofold as compared to seedlings which were not fertilize. Seedlings grown in soil not infested with P.tinctorius did not form ectomycorrhizae. Application of T.terrestris inoculum did not significantly affect the formation of ectomycorrhizae macroscopically typical of those formed by this fungus...

Book Forest Regeneration Manual
