Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Despite unfathomable emotional pain, betrayal by loved ones, and a vicious cycle of yearning for outwardly love and attention, healing of the heart is possible! This book is not just words penned to make someone feel good. Poetry from the Heart is a book of deeply personal expressions that reveal many of my life experiences and the deliberate obstacles that God allowed me to go through to heal myself and to help heal others. Some of the poems were directly inspired by the Holy Spirit. This is the first of several books God put in me. In the process of writing this book, I found answers to questions that I had for years. God told me years ago that I would write poetry and that it would get published in a book that would provide me with answers to many question I had. It would also open my eyes about why certain things happened in my life. As I wrote the poems, God allowed the mysteries to unfold. And just as He told me I would, I found the answers that blessed me. The poem Where is God When it Hurts? is the one that inspired me most and triggered the birthing of this book. I went through a vivid time in my life that the only way healing came was through writing what I was feeling. Out of the writings came Poetry from the Heart. For this I am so grateful. I pray that this book will be a blessing to every hand that holds it and every soul that receives it. May it bring wholeness and healing to every part of you and help to lay the foundation for discovering the answers to questions that you, too, have pondered in your heart and never shared with anyone. ... BUT GOD HE THOUGHT I WAS WORTH SAVING To God be the Glory

Download or read book Poems for the Heart written by Joseph J Cacciotti and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2007-05 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I started writing poetry when I was seventeen years old; I found out that when you put your thoughts into words sometimes magic happens. I'm not talking about genies popping out of a bottle or anything like that, but in how I see things clearer and how beautiful this world truly is. I found out later in life how much easier it was to find a date in high school. I used to try and talk to girls and found out sometimes I'd get a little gun shy and pass up my chance. Then one day, I wrote a poem for this girl I had my eye on. I walked up to her and handed her the poem and then walked away. Later she approached me and we went out on a date. I found the magic potion to breaking the ice (so to speak) was a piece of paper and a writing pen. I learned how to put my thoughts down on a piece of paper, which later I put into a blank book that I would write my poems in. After I was told by at least fifty or so people that I should share these poems to others, I sat down and sorted out the poems I thought could touch your heart the best. I hope my poems are inspirational enough to help you create your own book.

Amidst chaos and resilience, these poems echo the resilience of the human spirit, standing tall amidst the tumultuous storms, finding solace in the symphony of life's chaos. Enchantment weaves through the verses, painting pictures of timeless moments, inviting readers to wander through realms where time stands still, and the heart finds solace in the embrace of beauty. Yet, alongside the enchantment lies the essence of shadow, where the play of light and dark accentuates the nuances of existence, beckoning contemplation. As the poems unravel, themes of reckoning and timelessness intertwine, mirroring the eternal struggle against the passage of time while embracing the eternal essence of the human soul. Each poem serves as a mirror reflecting the collective heartbeat of a century, capturing the essence of moments frozen in the sands of time. "Eyes of the Heart: A Century of Poetic Vision" doesn't merely encapsulate a century's worth of poetic musings; it embodies the essence of being human, celebrating the profound connection between our experiences and the universe at large. It invites the reader to witness life through the lens of a poet's heart, where every verse is a mosaic piece stitching together the fabric of our shared existence. May these poems be a guide, offering solace to the weary heart, inspiration to the wandering mind, and a sanctuary to the seeking soul. Book Ten Poems to Open Your Heart

Download or read book Ten Poems to Open Your Heart written by Roger Housden and published by Harmony. This book was released on 2007-12-18 with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ten Poems to Open Your Heart is a book devoted to love: to the intimacy of personal love and lovemaking, to a loving compassion for others, and to the love that embraces both this world and the next. This new volume from Roger Housden features a few of the same poets as his extraordinarily moving Ten Poems to Change Your Life, such as Mary Oliver and Pablo Neruda, along with contributions from Sharon Olds, Wislawa Szymborska, Czeslaw Milosz, Denise Levertov, and others. Any one of the ten poems and, indeed, any one of Housden’s reflections on them, can open, gladden, or pierce your heart. Through the voices of these ten inspiring poets, and through illustrations from his own life, Housden expresses the tenderness, beauty, joys, and sorrows of love, the presence of which, more than anything else, gives human existence its meaning. As Housden says in his eloquent introduction, “Great poetry happens when the mind is looking the other way and words fall from the sky to shape a moment that would normally be untranslatable. . . . When the heart opens, we forget ourselves and the world pours in: this world, and also the invisible world of meaning that sustains everything that was and ever shall be.” From the Hardcover edition.

The course was freshly designed and titled, “Soc 280Z: Sociology of Knowledge: Mysticism, Science, and Utopia.” The class-book was designed and printed in less than two weeks by the instructor in order to make it available to students as soon a possible after the class. The “fake” publisher name proposed by a contributing student author (Ingrid Heller) and adopted by the contributors was the “Crumbling Façades Press.” The class-book experiment was one that eventually inspired and contributed to the launching of Human Architecture: Journal of the Sociology of Self-Knowledge (ISSN: 1540-5699, 2002-). Download or read book The Human Condition written by LISA MORENO and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2007-12-07 with total page 125 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: People thinking about a book on the human condition probably wouldn’t go over to the poetry section. They might be inclined to wander over to the psychology or self-help area of a book store or books online. In this powerful and moving book, Lisa Moreno takes her readers on an odyssey through the portals of the human condition with her electrifying poetry. Her book, The Human Condition, Poetic Insights is a stand-alone book. It is a poignant and sensitive collection of poems that address the vulnerabilities that humanity faces. It is presented in a way that elevates this book to transcend its category to the greater appeal of all audiences. Imagine the impressionable child being harassed at school. The impact that teasing has on a child’s personality can affect him throughout his entire life. In this book, the section on Growing Up offers poetry about children’s inner fears, revealing the complexities of childhood. A sense of innocence and naivete echoes here. The poem, Being Made Fun Of, will awaken memories of early school days. We all remember kids being made fun of at school, even if it wasn’t ourselves. Lisa looks deeply through the eyes of children. She embraces the feelings of adopted children, as well as the feelings of being The Only Child. Dealing with conflicts at the family level is presented in her poem, The Family Line. Lisa crosses invisible boundaries to bring awareness to her readers about the fabric of family. Lisa then shifts into the realm of Relationships. Here you will find beautifully crafted poetry describing love on many levels. Some will take your breath away. Breathe Me In and Your Sleeping Heart will make your heart pound. A full bounty of love poems awaits the reader here. You will also find poetry revealing the sting of deception and betrayal. The Cheating Heart and Emotional Abuse will ignite many readers. Lisa boldly addresses the fears that people have at the gut level. Lisa doesn't simply write poetry to please and gloss over; she boldly ventures into areas of emotions from which people typically steer away. She wants to inspire people, to reach, climb, think, and conquer. In the final section, Inner Conflicts, Lisa takes her readers on a rollercoaster ride through the depths of the psyche. Here you will find a safe atmosphere where emotional roadblocks may be lifted through poetic inspiration. Lisa feels the pulse of humanity on a highly sensitive level. We all can become victimized by circumstances in our lives. She discusses the full spectrum of the human condition, from subjects like Courage, to the paralyzing affects of all-consuming Fear. She weaves through the fabric of emotions, and carries the reader from an inspiring poem like Garden In Bloom through life’s deep abyss, where the dark, murky waters of the human condition stand heavy. Her poem, Abuse, reveals the stark reality of a subject too often kept repressed and undisclosed. She then carries you through the ups and downs of turbulent, emotional waters to the calm, clear water of her final poem, Unconditional. The Human Condition, Poetic Insights is a riveting and page-turning book. Each reader is sure to find a piece of himself somewhere in its pages.
