Book From the Fear of Voodoo to the Fear of God Revised Edition

Download or read book From the Fear of Voodoo to the Fear of God Revised Edition written by Frantz Michel and published by . This book was released on 2015-01-22 with total page 218 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Voodoo is all around us, spreading its deception in the lives of Christians and non-Christians alike. Many people are under the mistaken belief that it is a Christian religion, since more than 75% of its followers are also Catholics. They teach others that Voodoo is a means to God. But those with knowledge of that religion know that the opposite is, in fact, true; the voodoo priests and many practitioners are working for Lucifer and are blinded by the false promises of the devil. After being exposed to Voodoo for more than 20 years, Frantz Michel author of "Can God Save Haiti?" learned the truth of the ungodliness and deception therein. In his chef-d'oeuvre, From the Fear of Voodoo to the Fear of God, Michel submits some of his personal experiences and those of his family members and friends in the hope that they will help readers to overcome the fear of voodoo and answer to the calling of God upon their lives. Michel says, "Fear of Voodoo is cocky and ruthless, it herds us into a prison of unlocked doors where seemingly none can get out; but I am showing you how to walk out." Here's what others are saying about this book: "Frantz Michel's book, 'From The Fear of Voodoo To The Fear of God' is a powerhouse of a book, that should be in every Christian's library. What I love about it is from the outset; this is a bold and honest book! Author Michel does not mince words here. He calls evil by its name and backs it up with scripture. The author knows his subject well... Speaking from the heart and providing a wealth of information about a subject many seem to think it's as harmless as an Ouija board. Voodoo is nothing to play with, and the author provides personal insight to its dangers. If you were ever in question about Voodoo, Frantz Michel can set you straight. Praise for 'From The Fear of Voodoo to The Fear of God' for not being afraid to write the truth! --Thomas Amo, Published Author & Internationally Produced Playwright From some of the practices of Voodoo, like the more well-known and celebrated Zombie to the less known marriages and day to day rituals, the author sheds light on what can only be considered a dark art. Rife with insight, Biblical Passages and fact based History - this is a book that any Faithful should read, and quite a few non-Faithful as well. --Heather G., Reviewer

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: VOODOO... Many are those who believe that it is a Christian religion, since over 75% of its followers are also Catholics. But those with knowledge of that religion know that it's the opposite. Frantz knows about it all, after practicing voodoo for over 20 years, he has learned the hard way about the ungodliness and deception therein. He was taught, like many others, that voodoo was a mean to get to God. What a hoax! The majority of the voodoo priests are aware that they are working for Lucifer, but are blinded by the false promises of the devil. Here is the testimony of one: "I am working for my hell, because I love my Lord Satan." In this chef-d'oeuvre, Frantz submits some of his personal, fascinating experiences, and those of his family members and friends. The author writes on topics of this subject like no one before, Zombies, for example. He explains what zombie really is, not as the Hollywood movies depict it. He unmasks the spirit of voodoo and reveals who they really are and explains possession by spirits. This book is unique! Consequently, "From The Fear of Voodoo To The Fear of God," is the new, hot, must-read book of the year! Born and raise in a voodoo family in Haiti, Frantz Michel, after over 20 years in VOODOO, realized that he was duped; he was in the wrong practice. Five years after moving to the US, he gave his live to Jesus Christ in 2005 and dedicated his life to Him. He is currently a ministry leader, "Mission Coordinator," and the spoke person of a council board at his local church in North Miami (Gateway Family Foursquare Church), and the editor in chief of a Newsletter for that same church (Gateway's Newsletter). He is also a proud member of the US MILITARY (reservist).

Book excerpt: [Buy Direct from CreateSpace.com and Save $2.00 on Paperback copies: Click on Roger McReynolds (above) for Information.] An unabridged, fully updated for Today's Reader edition of John Bunyan's 1679 classic, A Treatise of the Fear of God, using the English Standard Version. From the book: "Objection. But the Scripture says, 'perfect love casts out fear.' Therefore it seems that saints should not fear after they have received the Spirit of adoption, but, as another Scripture says, they should 'serve him without fear' (1 John 4:18; Luke 1:74-75). Answer. Fear, as I have shown you, may be taken several ways. First, it may be used for the fear of devils. Second, it may be used for the fear of unbelievers. Third, it may be used for the fear that the Holy Spirit gives as a spirit of slavery. Or lastly, it may be used for the fear about which I have just been writing."

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I first found Pastor Backus' pamphlet "A Discourse on the Nature and Influence of GODLY FEAR," written in 1801, while doing research for a different book I was working on. At that time, I had been seriously studying the topic of the Fear of God for over 15 years and considered myself fairly fluent on the subject. As I tried to read this sermon, I found myself needing both a dictionary and a Bible. The dictionary was necessary because Brother Backus had a vast vocabulary and used many archaic words that I did not understand. The Bible was necessary since the author assumed that his listeners were familiar with the more than 100 Bible references he used in this one sermon. It was my original intention to make some minor changes to the sermon to make it more easily read by a modern audience and then try to republish it. As I tried to share this sermon with my friends, it quickly became apparent that more than minor changes were necessary for modern readers to be able to fully understand this discourse. The end product might be most accurately called a collaboration between two preachers who lived more than 150 years apart. Pastor Backus' original 40 page sermon [which included 6 pages of genealogy] is now with my contributions more than 85 pages long [not counting the Bible study at the end.] In this book, I have tried to distinguish my additions from Brother Backus' original words by using these marks - - to indicate his words. Thus -We do but sojourn in this world; and this time of our sojourning should be passed in Fear.- would be primarily Backus' words with minor changes to make his language more easily understood. Passages without these marks would be the parts that I have added. In this book, I try to help the reader to distinguish between the Holy Fear of God and the unholy fear of God by the use of capital letters. In many ways, it would be most helpful to do the Bible study on the Fear of God before actually reading this book as it would help a reader to first become more familiar with the Biblical message of the Fear of God. In Brother Backus' day, the Fear of God was inculcated, taught often and with great repetition, but in our day, this doctrine has sadly been lost. I believe that it is time, as in Josiah's day, to clean out the temple and rediscover ALL that has been lost concerning the Fear of God! It is time also for those who Fear the Lord to speak often to one another! THEN THOSE WHO FEARED THE LORD SPOKE TO ONE ANOTHER, and the LORD gave attention and heard it, and a book of remembrance was written before Him for those who fear the LORD and who esteem His name. "They will be Mine," says the LORD of hosts, "on the day that I prepare My own possession, and I will spare them as a man spares his own son who serves him." SO YOU WILL AGAIN DISTINGUISH BETWEEN THE RIGHTEOUS AND THE WICKED, BETWEEN ONE WHO SERVES GOD AND ONE WHO DOES NOT SERVE HIM. Malachi 3:16-18 NASU My prayer is that God would awaken in hearts today a desire to learn all of what His Word teaches about the Fear of God and that we and our Churches would once again inculcate the Fear of God and be truthfully called God-Fearing.

This small book serves to free the Vaudouisants of the fear that some Christians continue to carry in spite of their renouncement of voodoo. Many still carry old beliefs within themselves that make of their life a daily moral torment. Dr. Saint Charles hopes that the reading of this book will transform readers and allow them to be optimistic and free of the illogical fears that have bound them so long. That Christian will then be better able to contribute and spread happiness and joy while waiting for entrance into the final Paradise. LOOK FOR THE FRENCH AND SPANISH VERSIONS SOON!

Book The Soul s Porter or a Treatise on the Fear of God

Download or read book The Soul s Porter or a Treatise on the Fear of God written by William Price and published by Puritan Publications. This book was released on 2012-11-12 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Price’s works are rare. The works in the volume are all that survive. The first work is a treatise on the fear of God. He expounds two texts, “The fear of God is the beginning of wisdom,” from Proverbs 1:7, and, “Let us hear the conclusion of all: Fear God…” from Eccl. 12:13. He covers the nature and kinds of fear in general and more specifically and practically the fear of God. He shows the proper distinguishable symptoms of the fear of God, and essential ingredients that constitute true, genuine fear. Price gives a serious exhortation to fear God as well as the means by which the fear of God may be worked on and increased. This treatise brings practical insight into an extremely important subject that many Christians, both in his day and in ours, tend to forget. Also contained in the volume is his sermon “Man’s Delinquency Attended by Divine Justice Intermixed with Mercy.” This sermon was given to the House of Lords Assembled in Parliament, in the Abby Church at Westminster, on November 25, 1646, during a solemn day of their monthly fast. It is a deeply heartfelt sermon on Ezra 9:6-8 covering the responsibility of the Parliament dispensing justice coupled with mercy. This is not a scan or facsimile, has been updated in modern English for easy reading and has an active table of contents for electronic versions.
