Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Believers know that when we die we enter heaven and will spend eternity there with God and the saints who have gone before us. But what actually happens in heaven? What are we going to be doing there? Won't it get boring at some point? According to Scripture, a large part of our experience of heaven will be a continual revealing of God's glory. Not just his glory in the moment, but during all of time. The mysteries of providence, the hidden movements of God throughout history, and the forgotten and unnoted works of even the most obscure of God's people will be unveiled so that we can see how wise, loving, gracious, and powerful our God is. And though we will experience perfection in heaven, we will never be omniscient, which means we will always be learning more about God's glory, inspiring us to return joyful praise and thanksgiving. If your vision of heaven has been limited to clouds and harps and angels, it's time to expand that view with the truth found in this biblically based look at the afterlife.

Book Song of Solomon

Download or read book Song of Solomon written by Dr. Bonnie L. Westhoff and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2016-07-27 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Book of First Kings 4:32 says that Solomon wrote 1005 songs. A song is poetry like the Psalms that were sung to bring forth a message from God. God deemed this song important enough to keep it in His manual, the Bible. The Books of First and Second Samuel are the historical books of David, but His love and emotions for God were written in his Psalms. Likewise, the Book of Revelation is a historical book of the bride of Christ, but the Song of Solomon is the love and emotions of Christ and His bride. This book is being published at the same time as Revelation to be companion books with the same overview. God desired a people who would be adopted into His kingdom. Christ would redeem every person who would acknowledge the plan of God to become children of the Most High God. The Bible was inspired by God (2 Tim 3:16). The Book of Song of Solomon shows the love of the Lord Jesus to His bride, the Church, who is called Shulamite. Shulamite in Hebrew is the feminine noun for Solomon. Solomon in Hebrew is shalom meaning peace unto wholeness. This wholeness comes from a relationship with the Lord which is offered to everyone, male or female, Jewish or Gentile (non-Jewish). Do not think of Solomon in this book as the king, for he too is a believer in the Lord, so therefore He too can be the Shulamite. This is not a picture of Solomons love for a woman, but instead the story of how Solomon came to love the Lord and grow spiritually throughout His life. Both Books (Revelation and Song of Solomon) are actually a symbolic picture of the Ancient Jewish Wedding. The bride is the Church, and therefore, seen as female, yet we know that God is identified as being present in both male and female. Therefore, Solomon is writing as a believer growing in his walk with the Lord. Song of Solomon, like all books in the Old Testament, point to Jesus. It cant be about Solomon and his love for a woman; IT HAS TO BE ABOUT JESUS. Therefore, it shows how a believer grows in their relationship with Jesus. The Jewish wedding takes us from the first time we see Jesus in the spirit and are engaged (salvation) to the time we see Jesus face to face in marriage (our resurrection) to the time we return with Christ to rule and reign as His wife (Millennium) to the time we live in the new heaven and earth (eternity). The intention of this book is to experience in the spirit the life of the believer growing in our knowledge and relationship with Jesus Christ.

Book The Glory and Fullness of Jesus Christ

Download or read book The Glory and Fullness of Jesus Christ written by William McEwen and published by Reformation Heritage Books. This book was released on 2022-06-08 with total page 386 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: William McEwen (1735–1762) is one of the forgotten writers of the Scottish Church of the 18th century, and one of the great popular exponents of a sound biblical Typology. In his seminal book, Scottish Theology (Edinburgh, Banner of Truth: 1974) p. 181), McLeod rates McEwen as one of the best writers from the Secession Church of 1733: “MacEwen of Dundee we name by himself. He was one of the brightest ornaments of the Secession movement. He died at the early age of 28. But he left a book that embalms his memory ... This work deals with the types of Scripture in a vein of fine Evangelical teaching and it is expressed in what was regarded as the classical English of the middle of the 18th century ... And such a high and dry Anglican Churchman as Dean Burgon makes the rather grudging admission that the best book he knew in English on the types was by a Scotsman and a Presbyterian.” Table of Contents: Foreword by Gordon J. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Preachers often quote this majestic promise in describing the consummation of history, the restoration of all things at the end of time. But few seek to uncover the passion of God in this promise: He wants us to know His glory, and He wants us to know it here on earth. What on Earth Is Glory? is one man's journey into this desire of God. From Mt. Sinai to the Cross, from a solitary confinement cell to the snowboarding slopes of Mammoth Lakes, from fathers and mothers to sons and daughters, from time to eternity, Paul Manwaring traces the revelation of God’s glory, uncovering the patterns of His divine design and purpose in all things, and inviting others to join him in making the audacious request Moses made millennia ago: “Show me Your glory.”

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is for those sons and daughters of the Lord Jesus Christ who have been weeping between the porch and the altar, crying out unto the Lord of glory. There is something stirring inside of you ready to explode. The fire inside of you is burning. You feel like it's time for you to move now! But it seems as if someone has pushed the pause button that's keeping you from your destiny. If you feel like everything that used to work for you has dried up, God has you in a strange place, a place where you are hungry and full at the same time, where all your spiritual senses are being exercised. This book was written to let you know the time of your coming out is at hand. Get ready! Keep pressing, keep praying, keep seeking. This is the price of becoming a Son of Glory. We are living in what the Bible calls the beginning of sorrows: "All these are the beginning of sorrows" (Matthew 24:8). This book is designed to encourage you to "stay planted by the rivers of water" (Psalm 1:3) for your season is at hand. I'm not talking about the rapture. I'm talking about the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ in the last days, to glorify his Sons of Glory here on earth, "the manifestation of the Sons of God." Jesus will return to reveal his glory. It will manifest in the life of his sons and daughters. This book is written for those who understand they can't stay in their comfort zone, they have to go places they've never known, for there is a glory realm that has been hidden since the beginning of the church age that is ready to be revealed in these last days.

Book A Figurative Commentary On the Song Of Solomon

Download or read book A Figurative Commentary On the Song Of Solomon written by David Gregson McNeely and published by XinXii. This book was released on 2016-03-14 with total page 243 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In American churches, the Song Of Solomon is traditionally thought of as an allegory of the love between Jesus, and the church. In Hebrew tradition, it is an allegory about the love of God for the Hebrew people, or "Jehovahas Wife" While both interpretations can be considered accurate, there is a third and mostly overlooked interpretation, and that is that it is a poetic representation of the earthly life, ministry, crucifixion, death burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ, & His continued ministry to the church, through the Holy Spirit from Heaven. This commentary is an attempt to outline this third interpretation in clear, concise language for the edification of the church and the body of Jesus Christ.

Book excerpt: A Study of How Genesis 3 Influences the Whole Story of the Bible When looking around at the world, it is easy to see that all is not as it should be. This brokenness within the world and humanity finds its roots in mankind's rebellion against God. The fall, as recorded in Genesis 3, sets the stage for creation's need for redemption—ultimately found in Jesus Christ. In this book, pastor and professor Mitchell Chase argues that in order to understand the fall and recognize its profound impact on later Scripture and the world today, Christians must first understand Genesis 3. Chase identifies themes found in Genesis 3—temptation, shame, messianic hope, and more—and shows how they reverberate throughout the rest of the storyline of Scripture. Understanding Adam and Eve's fall is crucial to understanding the world as it currently is and the need for redemption through Jesus. Accessible: Clear and concise writing on one of the most vital chapters in Scripture For Those Interested in Biblical Theology: Ideal for students, thoughtful lay people, and pastors looking to grow in their knowledge of inner-biblical exegesis and connections Identifies Biblical Themes in Genesis 3: Including temptation, shame, and messianic hope Written by Mitchell L.
