Book FROM RAGS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS

Download or read book FROM RAGS TO RIGHTEOUSNESS written by Wanda Byce and published by Xulon Press. This book was released on 2017-02-14 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The ages of our lives are like the chapters of a book. Each time span in life tells of places and events that, like chapters in a book, lead us to the next phase until all the chapters finally come to a conclusion. Each age, like a chapter, brings more information and more knowledge and the desire to continue. And even though each age may bring joy or sadness, desires to press on or to give up, never quite desiring to know what the next chapter holds. Many times the last chapter carries a surprise ending. And so does life. Sometimes the negative chapters of a book can cause us to believe that the end will not turn out positive. But as you read each chapter of my life, you will see that not only can a book not be judged by its cover, neither can the end of its contents be judged based on the first chapters of its beginning The author's purpose of writing her autobiography was birthed when she remembered a comment that was said to her long ago. At the time, it didn't seem that significant. Then a revelation began to emerge and she realized that the Lord wanted her to let others know the truth. What was the comment that brought about this book? It was, "I bet you've been a Christian all your life." Wanda Byce has written other books that continue to bring honor and glory to God. No greater honor can be bestowed upon God then to receive the love and forgiveness He has made possible through His Son's finished work at the cross. It is because of that love, Wanda Byce has decided to share her life where all can see that it's not what we have done, or what has been done to us, but what Jesus Christ has already done for us that determines our lifestyle examples to others. You will have no difficulty after reading this book, deciding whether or not she has been a Christian all her life.

This is living by faith in future grace, which provides God's mercy, provision, and wisdom—everything we need—to accomplish his good plans for us. Book From Rags to Righteousness

Download or read book From Rags to Righteousness written by Don Shipman and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2021-11-03 with total page 246 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From Rags to Righteousness is the true life story of one young preacher and his family's desperate struggles to obey and serve the Lord. Their first of many betrayals came when their home church pastor sent the young family off to Bible school with promises and lies. You will read of their struggles to keep shelter over their heads and food on their table. And how, by modern-day miracles, the Lord provided their daily needs day by day. The sins of the author are not hidden from the reader. As the miracles are provided and victories, the preacher turns back to his old life. He takes you with him into the darkness of wasted years. You watch his fall and the depth of it. You cheer and laugh at the way the Lord brings him to repentance and back into the holy calling of the Lord. When the Shipmans invited a stranded twenty-year-old woman with a nine-month-old baby into their home, their lives changed forever. Within these pages, you will find the gripping account of this family's unselfish rescues of homeless women and their children. You also read of the wolves in sheep's clothing and their opposition and their determination to fight against this preacher tooth and nail! You will be shocked by the well-known pastors who, motivated by jealousy and envy, stood against this ministry. You will see how the betrayal, deceptions, and revenge try to destroy the family and the mission it represents. You will read how one of America's first and most powerful megachurch became involved with disbelief. You will wonder at the rich and powerful foundations, two of Chattanooga's chief of police, and prominent civic leaders, and for good measure, an assortment of mentally ill come together in a garbled maze with the motive of bringing about the downfall of one preacher!

Book A Stranger in the House of God

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Growing up the son of agnostics, John Koessler saw a Catholic church on one end of the street and a Baptist on the other. A Stranger in the House of God addresses fundamental questions and struggles faced by spiritual seekers and mature believers. Like a contemporary Pilgrim’s Progress, it traces the author’s journey and explores his experiences with both charismatic and evangelical Christianity. It also describes his transformation from religious outsider to ordained pastor. John Koessler provides a poignant and often humorous window into the interior of the soul as he describes his journey from doubt and struggle with the church to personal faith

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whether the issue of the day on Twitter, Facebook, or cable news is our sexuality, political divides, or the perceived conflict between faith and science, today’s media pushes each one of us into a frustrating clash between two opposing sides. Polarizing, us-against-them discussions divide us and distract us from thinking clearly and communicating lovingly with others. Scott Sauls, like many of us, is weary of the bickering and is seeking a way of truth and beauty through the conflicts. Jesus Outside the Lines presents Jesus as this way. Scott shows us how the words and actions of Jesus reveal a response that does not perpetuate the destructive fray. Jesus offers us a way forward—away from harshness, caricatures, and stereotypes. In Jesus Outside the Lines, you will experience a fresh perspective of Jesus, who will not (and should not) fit into the sides.

Author and Pastor Marcus F. Cage shares how drugs, poverty and temptation couldn't stop the love of God from raising him to righteous standing. Pastor Cage also shares his near-death experience and describes how God stopped Satan's attempt to kill him at a very young age. There is no fiction in these pages. The truths that are shared are real. God has released Pastor Cage to help others heal from their past, so they won't be held back from their true future. Book Christ and His Righteousness

Download or read book Christ and His Righteousness written by E.J Waggoner and published by Ravenio Books. This book was released on with total page 91 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ellet Joseph Waggoner (1855 – 1916) was a leading Seventh-day Adventist preacher and writer. In his famous book Christ and His Righteousness, he writes, "Christ has been set forth by God as the One through whom forgiveness of sins is to be obtained; and this forgiveness consists simply in the declaration of His righteousness (which is the righteousness of God) for their remission. God, “who is rich in mercy” (Eph. 2:4), and who delights in it, puts His own righteousness on the sinner who believes in Jesus, as a substitute for his sins. Surely, this is a profitable exchange for the sinner, and it is no loss to God, for He is infinite in holiness, and the supply can never be diminished." Chapters include: 1. How Shall We Consider Christ? 2. Is Christ God? 3. Is Christ a Created Being? 4. God Manifest in the Flesh 5. Important Practical Lessons 6. Christ the Lawgiver 7. The Righteousness of God 8. The Lord Our Righteousness 9. Acceptance With God 10. The Victory of Faith 11. Bond-Servants and Freemen 12. Practical Illustrations of Deliverance From Bondage

Book The Hole in Our Holiness

Download or read book The Hole in Our Holiness written by Kevin DeYoung and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2014-01-31 with total page 162 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The hole in our holiness is that we don't care much about holiness. Or, at the very least, we don't understand it. And we all have our reasons too: Maybe the pursuit of holiness seems legalistic. Maybe it feels like one more thing to worry about in your already overwhelming life. Maybe the emphasis on effort in the Christian life appears unspiritual. Or maybe you've been trying really hard to be holy and it's just not working! Whatever the case, the problem is clear: too few Christians look like Christ and too many don't seem all that concerned about it. This is a book for those of us who are ready to take holiness seriously, ready to be more like Jesus, ready to live in light of the grace that produces godliness. This is a book about God's power to help us grow in personal holiness and to enjoy the process of transformation.

Book excerpt: In the debate over Calvin's relationship to covenant theology, Peter Lillback offers fresh in-depth scholarship and answers many of the tensions between Calvin's system of theology and traditional covenant theology. Through careful examination of primary sources, Lillback builds a large store of evidence for Calvin's covenant thought. He completely refutes popular claims that predestination and covenant theology were considered incompatible in the early Reformed tradition, that the theologies of Zurich and Geneva were fundamentally different, and that Calvin's system left no room for a covenant understanding of theology.
