Download or read book Into Your Child s Heart written by Agnes Lui and published by Balboa Press. This book was released on 2019-11-29 with total page 175 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Being a parent is a complex role, where many points of the past, present and future cross. We parents have our past and are in the present with our children, but it is they who hold the future. Living with them every day for almost twenty years, we transmit our subconscious emotional history and beliefs to them. Through their intuitive openness, our children absorb our unspoken language of what love is or is not. What we share intimately with them, good and bad, they take into the future. Our children become the children we have been and pass on their history to the next generation. This is my story. I turn toward the light, and heaven gives me insight beyond my imagination. “Into Your Child’s Heart is not only a gem of a book, it is a spiritual journey. Agnes Lui takes us from the challenges of being a sensitive and gentle parent into our own hearts. She reflects on her own personal history, her family of origin and her mix of Chinese and western culture. Spirit guides come forward to help her. From the precious family relation, that of parent and child, Agnes Lui takes us into the troubled world we all face today. “Into Your Child’s Heart becomes a deeply meaningful meditation, a prayer for world harmony on every level of being. We breathe with this author every step of the way in this thoughtful, reflective and beautiful book.” ~Kathleen Spivack Unspeakable Things, With Robert Lowell and His Circle “Agnes Lui is a thoughtful spiritual seeker with a big heart. She has found wisdom through being a social worker and parent, through interactions with a wise spiritual teacher, and through dealing with difficulties with her family of origin. She shares that wisdom with us—and we certainly need it—and relates individual pain to the pain the whole world is in.” ~Lawrence Kessenich Cinnamon Girl, Age of Wonder, Before Whose Glory, Pearl
Download or read book A Child s Heart written by Tori Woods, M.Ed and published by Dorrance Publishing. This book was released on 2020-08-17 with total page 71 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Child’s Heart By: Tori Woods, M.Ed. Do you wonder what it means to capture the heart of a child? Children are considered to be humble, trusting, receptive, and not very self-sufficient, meaning that they are dependent on others. Being dependent also characterizes a person of faith, because you are trusting God. Through our childlike faith and trust, we shall receive the Kingdom of God as a gift of His Mercy and Grace. In A Child's Heart, Tori Woods, M.Ed. encourages us to capture the heart of a child, not only so that we can become like one, through certain aspects such as humility and innocence, but also so that we can cherish them and hold them close to us, just as Jesus does when He instructs His disciples (in Mark 10:13-16) to let the children come unto Him so that they could be blessed.

This book was released on 2022-08-30T22:59:00Z with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Please note: This is a companion version & not the original book. Sample Book Insights: #1 Parents should focus on the heart, not the externals of behavior. When we miss the heart, we miss the gospel, the glory of God, and the need for grace. #2 I have written this book to apply the principles I have seen bear good fruit in my life and in the counseling and pastoral ministry God has given me. I have sought to apply the principles of the Bible to the task of parenting. #3 Shepherding a Child’s Heart is a book that teaches you what your goals as a parent should be, and how to pursue them practically. It teaches you how to engage your children about what matters, and how to address their hearts by your words and actions. #4 The old ways of parenting no longer work. Old authoritarian methods are ineffective against a culture that no longer responds to authority. Today’s parents are frustrated and confused, and children do not act like they should.
Download or read book Stamped on Every Child s Heart Impulsive Behavior written by Rebecca Dawson and published by Blue Room Publications, LLC. This book was released on 2014-04-01 with total page 57 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Do you know an impulsive child? One who is full of exaggerations, quick to respond, careless with words, and acts without thinking. Do you have a child who gets out of his seat regularly while he's not suppose to, interrupts conversations, or jumps to the front of the line uninvited? Impulsiveness is the quick, natural response for these kids. They might do all these things and more (keep in mind, they generally do them rapidly). Nevertheless in the very same breathe, impulsive kids can be quick to defend, remorseful for poor decisions, and able to leap over obstacles in a single bound. There's a gift for us to discover in impulsiveness. The disciple, Peter, emulates both the strengths and weaknesses of impulsive behavior. Impulsiveness had Peter rushing into the water to meet Jesus, while also quickly cutting off a soldier's ear. He was quick to defend, responded without thinking, and passionate beyond words. His impulsiveness allowed him to experience the miracle of walking on water, while everyone else watched him from inside the boat. The beauty of Peter's impulsiveness is displayed within his life. Peter's impulsiveness allowed him to experience close encounters with God. He's authentic and real. He's growing and he's a challenge. But in the end, he's solid, and the guy others wanted to follow. Discovering the gift of impulsiveness begins in the life of Peter.
