The scientific institutions, other Governments, and research organizations have helped to shape the biodiversity field guide through their contributions during various meetings, interactions as well as through their comments and inputs to finalize the book. The book comprising total 1881 species of Angiosperms (flowering plants) of Telangana State and incorporated the nearly 1000 photos of plants and updated the list using the plant data list. Also given the common names and Scientific names along with Telugu names (Vernacular names for most of the species). In fauna we have given the full details about the Invertebrates; including Prawns & Crabs, Odonates (Dragonflies & Damselflies), Moths, Butterflies, spiders, scorpions, Mollusks, Other invertebrates (Insects, grasshoppers, beetles etc.) and Vertebrates ; Fishes, Amphibians, Reptiles, Birds, Mammals, Domestic Animals etc. This book will helps for every individuals for identification of Biodiversity and especially researchers, academicians, scientific people, policy makers and all the line department Officials.

All the herbaria in India have been consulted for the specimens of Telangana. The first volume include Introduction, Topography and general features, Forests and Vegetation, Past and Present work, Key to the families and systematic enumeration families Ranunculaceae to Alangiaceae. The second volume includes families Rubiaceae to Ceratophyllaceae and Third volume Monocotyledons. Bentham and Hooker's system of classification has been followed in the enumeration of families with certain exceptions to accommodate recent changes. A dichotomous indented key is given for families, genera and species. A total of 1945 taxa belonging to 1891 species, under 794 genera and 147 families have been enumerated. Under each family key to the genera followed by the genus with its authority, key to the species, followed by species enumearation. The enumeration of species included the complete citation according to ICN, basionym, if any, synonyms to connect Flora of British India, Flora of Presidency of Madras and Flora of former Andhra Pradesh. It is followed by detailed description, distribution in the state, flowering and fruiting period, vernacular names and specimens examined. References, Index to families, genera and species are given at the end.
