The purpose was to implement a student-housing fire safety program for high school seniors. Document review, survey instruments, interviews and personal communications were used to answer the action research questions: what is the established schedule, who should instruct, what will be taught and learned? Results showed most Edina students pursue advanced education; there is currently no risk reduction program equipping these students to make fire safe decisions, however, there are actions and programs available, partnering with the local school district to administer and deliver this program is best. Recommendation is to develop, implement and evaluate a fire safety program targeting high school seniors.
