Book excerpt: Now married and living a peaceful life a young alien hybrid Starchild recounts her various sexual exploits in a diary, She details each encounter, from humans to aliens, to other hybrids. Among the racy details, Celestial describes how she left behind her sex-filled past and came to be a dedicated wife and loving mother. Book 2 Celestial and Klio got invited aboard the President's spacecraft where Celestial gets to know they've become an endangered species. Klio gets sent back to Earth on a mission for the Presidency to protect the President's clone on earth who is running the State's affairs. Celestial gets attached to Rump due to Klio's long absence and had more than a few sexual wild romps, Mabel, Rump's PA, and Agent Mahoney all getting involved in the action. Celestial and Rayne return to earth where she, Rayne, began to exhibit her numerous Starchild gifts which included levitation and invisibility to mention a couple. Klio was gone for a while and Rump showed up a few times. Celestial begins to develop feelings for him. Klio had to return as the Grey men came for Rayne the following morning she had levitated for the first time. Rayne's seeming departure reignited their union but only time will tell if they would get back together with Rump fully in the picture. The second story of a Trilogy. Book 3 STARCHILD GENERATION is a di-narrative of two-star beings. The narrative is relayed in the voices of two heroines. Celestial, the mother, and Rayne, her daughter. The narrative focuses majorly on the younger Starchild as she explores herself into adulthood and embarks on an intergalactic adventure where she discovers not only the true extent of her powers but also the reason behind her existence. Rayne is a Starchild prodigy. She is the first successful hybrid. The success the alien contingent had with her has paved many ways to a host of other experiments. They consider her expediently essential to their quest to dominate the world and liberate other universes. Rayne is a precocious child, much advanced than her years. This much is obvious about her personality. Life begins to catch up with her when love and lust locate her. She blossoms into a young lady, forcefully at the age of fifteen due to myriads of experiences she has had. She has had her fair share of danger and adventures. And her inquisitive spirit sparks new discoveries in her as she teams up with her mother after a decade of separation and journeys out-world to save her imprisoned father. She breaks a few hearts as well for her independence and past lives prevent her from giving her heart to any man, ever again. She is fun and she gets it as much as she pleases. This is her Achilles heel however as it gets her in a few troubles. Celestial, on the other hand, has begun to feel entrapped in the world of the T. Rump doppelgangers. She finds herself inexplicably drawn to both of them. She lusts after them, equally, with much desire coursing through her veins. The more time she spends with the clone, the more she covets him and longs for the return of the real Rump. Things take a new course when her path inadvertently crosses with her long-departed daughter. She has recently been briefed of her estranged husband's imprisonment on an extraterritorial and extraterrestrial planet. They forthwith join forces to rescue him. She has a huge impact on the growth of her daughter as she finds her own path in the multiverse.

Book Hollywood s Second Sex

Download or read book Hollywood s Second Sex written by Aubrey Malone and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2015-04-07 with total page 245 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Women stars in Hollywood were invariably in two categories," said director Otto Preminger. "One group was of women who were exploited by men, and the other, much smaller group was of women who survived by acting like men." Beginning with silent film vamp Theda Bara and continuing with icons like Greta Garbo, Marilyn Monroe and Raquel Welch, this study of film industry misogyny describes how female stars were maltreated by a sexist studio system--until women like Katharine Hepburn and Bette Davis fought for parity. The careers of Doris Day, Brigitte Bardot, Carole Landis, Frances Farmer, Dorothy Dandridge, Inger Stevens and many others are examined, along with more recent actresses like Demi Moore and Sharon Stone. Women who worked behind the scenes, writing screenplays, producing and directing without due credit, are also covered.

Lost at Sea—now with new material—reveals how deep our collective craziness lies, even in the most mundane circumstances. Ronson investigates the strange things we’re willing to believe in, from robots programmed with our loved ones’ personalities to indigo children to the Insane Clown Posse’s juggalo fans. He looks at ordinary lives that take on extraordinary perspectives. Among them: a pop singer whose greatest passion is the coming alien invasion, assisted-suicide practitioners, and an Alaskan town’s Christmas-induced high school mass-murder plot. He explores all these tales with a sense of higher purpose and universality, yet they are stories not about the fringe of society. They are about all of us. Incisive and hilarious, poignant and maddening, revealing and disturbing—Ronson writes about our modern world, and reveals how deep our collective craziness lies, and the chaos stirring at the edge of our daily lives.
