Download or read book Growing profits Comprehensive business plan for BFeathers Poultry Farm Business written by bolonimibofa Kpokpowei and published by GRIN Verlag. This book was released on 2024-03-13 with total page 24 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Essay from the year 2023 in the subject Business economics - Investment and Finance, grade: 76.0, , language: English, abstract: Poultry farming has emerged as an essential and dynamic component, which contributes to economic growth and sustenance in Nigeria. Pursuing my lifelong dream of entrepreneurship, the concept of poultry farming sparked the need for a well-crafted business plan. The proposed business, BFeathers Poultry Farm aims to revolutionize the Nigerian poultry industry through sustainable and responsible farming practices, offering high-quality chicken meat and eggs to the local community and regional markets. Our strategic expansion plans include diversifying revenue streams by venturing into poultry feed production and equipment manufacturing, thereby contributing to the nation's agricultural and economic development while promoting eco-friendly initiatives within the sector.Through a thorough analysis, I will highlight how poultry farming not only offers entrepreneurial opportunities but also fortifies Nigeria's agricultural and economic landscape. I aim to develop a comprehensive business plan for launching a broilers poultry farm in Nigeria, shedding light on its potential profitability and the associated challenges. The research framework includes two key sections. The first examines the elements of a business plan and utilizes the theoretical project method, along with various books, Internet sources, and literature reviews. This section aims to outline the fundamental aspects of a professional business plan. The second segment dives into the actual poultry farming business plan, covering business description, startup capital, production strategies, marketing and organizational approaches, and financial assessments to ensure profitability. The proposed business plan for BFeathers poultry farm involves targeting the local community and regional market. The core value proposition centers on high-quality poultry products and sustainable farming practices. The business will utilize local markets, retailers, and online platforms for distribution. The thesis explores Nigeria's subsistence and commercial poultry farming systems, noting the prevalence of the subsistence system and potential for commercial production with hybrid breeds. Pre-establishment considerations like planning, location, housing, and resources are also examined.

Book Research Tracks in Urbanism Dynamics Planning and Design in Contemporary Urban Territories

Download or read book Research Tracks in Urbanism Dynamics Planning and Design in Contemporary Urban Territories written by Alessia Allegri and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2021-09-12 with total page 272 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Maybe the Global Village metaphor has never been more accurate than it is today, where societies join forces in the fight against the COVID 19 pandemic, in a global coordinated effort, possibly never tested before in the known history of Humankind. Although we are sure that in the past some other shared demands have united the different peoples of the world, this has never been so strongly necessary, mainly in what the global scientific community is concerned. This is a fight for the survival of a society. However, we should not lose sight of what we are fighting for. We fight together for people. Not just for the abstract value of Human life, but for life in society as a whole, including its moral and ethical aspects. The topics of this book are based on this claim, on what makes it possible. We do not build our lives in a vacuum, or in distant Invisible Cities, but through a higher value, which represents physical life in society: the City, built by the discipline of Urbanism. This book is a spin-off of the International Research Seminar on Urbanism_SIIU2020. Inspired by the contents of twelve research seminars, a group of researchers from the universities of Barcelona, Lisbon and São Paulo discuss the contemporary agenda of research in Urbanism. Following the conference, a selection of 35 original double-blind peer-reviewed research papers were brought together with different perspectives about such an agenda.

Download or read book Re Thinking Chickens The Discourse around Chicken Farming in British Newspapers and Campaigners Magazines 1982 2016 written by Elena Lazutkaite and published by Vernon Press. This book was released on 2020-10-06 with total page 274 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Re/Thinking Chickens: The Discourse around Chicken Farming in British Newspapers and Campaigners’ Magazines, 1982–2016" has major social relevance as it focuses on one of the most forgotten and yet most exploited farmed animals, chickens, who now have a combined mass exceeding that of all other birds on Earth. Dr Elena Lazutkaitė demonstrates that the planet’s most numerous birds, with a population of 23 billion at any one time, are trivialised in public discourse. This book applies the analytical framework of Critical Discourse Analysis in combination with corpus linguistics tools to present a detailed empirical case study. In total, the study corpus comprises 1754 texts published over the period of 34 years in broadsheets The Guardian and The Daily Telegraph, tabloids the Daily Mirror and the Daily Mail (including their Sunday editions Sunday Mirror and Mail on Sunday) and magazines produced by animal advocacy groups Compassion In World Farming and Animal Aid. This book will be of particular interest to university students of critical animal studies, human-animal studies, discourse studies, cultural studies, communication studies, sociology, (eco)linguistics, in addition to animal advocacy groups and media practitioners.

Book excerpt: When we accept oppression of some, we feed the oppression of others, and we make space for domination driven by false ideas of inferiority and lesser worth. When we discount the inherent preciousness of animals who think and feel, we erase precious parts of ourselves. When we consider living beings as “livestock,” it’s no wonder we pillage the unthinking yet irreplaceable living earth. Sub-Human is a robustly researched, sharply critical yet comfortingly human call to arms, diving deeply into the theory behind oppression, liberation, and the intersections within it. Exploring the history of animal consumption and commodification, this book deconstructs the current sociopolitical climate surrounding animal enterprises by looking at how we got here. Most importantly, it unravels how we can work towards a collectively liberated world.

Should children in Reception classes attend school assemblies? Should young children be taught to write in nursery? Should practitioners' plans be based on young children's specific interests or should they look to meet the needs of individuals entering Early Years settings with speech and language delay or autism? Early Years specialist Ann Langston considers all of these questions and more to present simple solutions for teachers and leaders on what to plan, what assessments are needed and how to approach teaching and learning. With chapters on observation and assessment, continuous provision, outdoor learning, transition, and internal and external evaluation, this book is ideal for all Early Years practitioners and leaders looking at ways to reflect on their approach to teaching and feel confident about their own judgements and the effectiveness of their practice.

Book excerpt: The coastal zone is the host to many human activities, which have significantly increased in the last decades. However, sea level rise and more frequent storm events severely affect beaches and coastal structures, with negative consequences and dramatic impacts on coastal communities. These aspects add to typical coastal problems, like flooding and beach erosion, which already leading to large economic losses and human fatalities. Modeling is thus fundamental for an exhaustive understanding of the nearshore region in the present and future environment. Innovative tools and technologies may help to better understand coastal processes in terms of hydrodynamics, sediment transport, bed morphology, and their interaction with coastal structures. This book collects several contributions focusing on nearshore dynamics, and span among several time and spatial scales using both physical and numerical approaches.
