A study was performed to evaluate these laboratory test methods, and to assess the relationship between the laboratory ratings and actual field performance. The first phase of that study was laboratory testing of 11 ventilation units to rate both airflow and sound power emission according to the current draft of CSA C260. The second phase was field testing of these same units after installation in residence. Both the airlow and noise parts of the field are dealt with in this report. The main body of the report presents an overview of the work performed, and a discussion of the significant issues.
