That project, held October 18-22, 1985, included small quantity generator (SQG) as well as City of Albuquerque generated hazardous waste. ... The 1985 collection project had developed extensive public awareness, and the more productive and efficient portions of that program were selected for utilization in 1989. ... A request for proposals (RFP) was developed in 1988 and sent to 49 firms involved in hazardous wast management. ... After review of the three proposals received, Rinchem Company Inc. of Albuquerque was selected as providing the best overall proposal and was contracted to conduct a three (3) day and two (2) one-day collection projects. The collection site was the Rinchem Company warehouse at 6133 Edith, NE. It was agreed that the last weekend in April 1989 (April 29, 30, May 1) and the last Saturdays in July (29th) and October (28th) would be the collection dates."--Introduction and background, leaves [1], 3, 5-6.
