Book Faerie Fae and Otherkin Tribes The Silver Elves Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin

Download or read book Faerie Fae and Otherkin Tribes The Silver Elves Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin written by The Silver Elves and published by Independently Published. This book was released on 2019-03-18 with total page 314 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In these modern times we now abide, it is most important that the faerie, fae and otherkin have a strong magical narrative of their own in a world that often likes to tell us who we are and who we are not, and mostly quite inaccurately so. It is our hope that in reading the magical narratives contained in FAERIE, FAE AND OTHERKIN: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin that you will be inspired, our kindred brothers and sisters, to begin if you have not already done so to create your own narrative or add to what you already remember and intuit. Over the last 30 years or so, we Silver Elves have given out over 6,000 elf names in our magical language Arvyndase to individuals who requested them. For years, many of the individuals who requested an elf name would also write to us and say that they felt that they were elven but didn't know any more about their elven or fae tribe. And for years, we told them that they should trust their imaginations and intuitions and while that is still very good advice, we realized in time that this was not any easy thing to do for many of these kindred of ours who were often newly awakened and needed a bit of guidance upon the path. In response to this, we created the Elf, Faerie, Otherkin Survey, as a means of eliciting the information that we needed from these individuals so we might create a narrative for them about their own magical tribe or clan of Elves, Fae or Others that was germane to them and as close as we could get based upon their responses and our own intuition. This book is dedicated to tribes of the faeries, fae that are faerie blends, otherkin, otherworldlies, and miscellaneous assorted fae, but we have also created a companion book that has the elven tribes in it. So if you are of elven kind, you may wish to also check out Elf Tribes: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind, Kin and Tribe. The over 150 magical narratives we created and that compose this book are based upon the memories or intuitions and thus the responses we were given to the survey about those of faerie, fae and otherkin nature. We would like to thank all those who participated in this survey and we truly loved their creative responses. Of course, we used our own imagination and intuition in putting their replies into a consistent whole, which was often a challenge but a challenge we very much enjoyed. The book is divided into two main sections, the first section being tribes of faerie and of the fae that are faerie blends; and the second section being tribes of a variety of otherkin, otherworldlies, and various assorted other fae. In putting the tribes and clans in categories, we choose to use preferred locales and environments indicated by the faerie and faerie blends. However, the second part of this book featuring otherkin, otherworldlies and various assorted other fae, just had too many diverse types (over 25) to categorize them by environment, and so we divided these by basic kin type, for example: Devas (Angels), Valkyries, Shining Ones and similar types together, or Dragons, Brownies, Pixies, or Shapeshifters, each in their own categories. Even then, there are many mixed peoples both for the fae and for otherkin of the various types. We did our best to choose the most prominent feature of their being to assign them to a particular chapter. You will find as you read through the many narratives in this book that the faerie, fae and otherkin are beautifully varied in their magic, healing abilities, lifestyle, art, ancient ways, governance, love of nature, relationship to mankind, preferences, symbols and skills. Perhaps, you will find your people as you read through this book, or kindred quite like them. At any rate, you can always do the survey yours'elf, or do it again if you feel you have come to a greater understanding of yours'elf and our peoples in the meantime (or gentle-time as we elves often say).

Book excerpt: Modern day elfae find it to be very important to have a strong magical narrative of their own in a world that often likes to tell you who you are and who you are not, and mostly quite inaccurately so. It is our hope that reading the magical narratives of elven tribes in ELF TRIBES: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin will inspire you, our kindred brothers and sisters, to begin if you have not already done so to create your own narrative or add to what you already remember and intuit. Over the last 30 years or so, we Silver Elves have given out over 6,000 elf names in our magical language Arvyndase to individuals who requested them. Elf Tribes: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin is dedicated to Tribes of the Elven but we have also created a companion book (see Faerie, Fae and Otherkin Tribes: The Silver Elves' Guide for Finding Your Magical Kind and Kin). If you are of faerie, fae or otherkin, you may wish to check it out. And if you are interested in elves, fae and otherkin and in the phenomenon of the awakening in our modern times of the magical folk, you will surely enjoy reading both of these books and delighting in the many magical variations of tribes that are here among us. The magical narratives we created and that compose this book are based upon the memories or intuitions and thus the responses we were given to the survey about those of elven nature. We would like to thank all the elves who participated in this survey, over 150, and we truly loved their creative responses. Of course, we used our own imagination and intuition in putting their replies into a consistent whole, which was often a challenge but a challenge we very much enjoyed. You will find as you read through the many narratives in this book that the elves are beautifully varied in their magic, healing abilities, art, lifestyle, ancient ways, governance, love of nature, relationship to mankind, preferences, symbols and skills. In putting the tribes and clans in categories, which is not easy concerning elves, we choose to use locales and environments they preferred as a means of doing so. So the book is divided into seven sections according to the basic regions that the elves indicated they each preferred to live in, which includes: the Mountain Elves, the Forest Elves, the Water Elves, the Trooping Elves (traveling between various regions), the Desert Elves, the Plains Elves, and the City Elves.

Book excerpt: ELFIN, FAE and OTHERKIN TRIBES: Varieties of Elfae Kin is the fifth book by The Silver Elves in the series of elf, faerie, fae and otherkin tribe narratives of the modern elfae community. Their first book is composed strictly of Elf tribes; the second book in the series describes Faerie, Fae and Otherkin tribes; and the third and fourth books are comprised of Elves, Faerie, Fae and Otherkin tribes. Elfin, Fae and Otherkin Tribes includes 107 tribes of elves, faerie, fae and otherkin, all of which are newly written and are not found in the first four volumes in this series. After publishing the first four books in this series, the Silver Elves continued writing and gifting tribe narratives for their kindred who filled out the kin type survey they had posted on their website and contacted them asking for a tribe narrative. So this fifth book in the series contains all of these new tribe narratives to this date and is dedicated to a variety of tribes of elven kind, faeries, fae that are faerie blends, otherkin, otherworldlies, and miscellaneous assorted fae. The tribe narratives in this volume are all newly published and are not found in the four previous books in the series. These tribe narratives will beautifully describe to you about their history, their unique powers, their unique magics and spiritual beliefs and practices, their way of governing, their spell crafting and herbal adeptship, along with their lifestyle and special creative interests and abilities. You will find as you read through the many narratives in this book that the elfin, faerie, fae and otherkin are beautifully varied in their magic, healing abilities, lifestyle, art, ancient ways, governance, love of nature, relationship to mankind, preferences, symbols and skills. The book is divided into three main sections: The first section being 53 tribes of elves, some of these elves are found in oak groves, forests and woodlands along rivers or lakes, while others are near waterfalls or the ocean. Also, in this section there are narratives of forest traveling elves and of elves living on the forest edge, along with some elven tribes in tropical rainforests, mountain valleys and within mountain caves, elves living in forests or the forest edge near towns and cities, as well as some coastal elves and river elves. The second section is composed of 21 tribes of faerie and of fae tribes, who abide in the desert lands; are travelers or troopers; are of the rivers or live in woodland realms near lakes, rivers and waterfalls; sometimes live near caves and where rainbows occur due to mist; are of the deep forests; of the forest lakes; and of the forests near the oceans. Some other of these fae tribes are island forest folk; are those traveling through the forests and on its edges; are of the high mountain areas far away from the world of normal folk or are of mountain valleys; and some are of the lakes or live near springs. And the third section being 33 tribes of a variety of otherkin and various assorted other fae. Included are tribes of Sylphs, Shapeshifters, Pixies, Will-O-Wisps, Water Sprites, Shining Ones, Fauns, Gnomes Nymphs, Dragons, Kitsune, Nixies, Dwarves, Brownies, Bogies, Merfolk, Selkies, Giants, and some mixed Elfae. In these modern times we now abide, it is most important that the faerie, fae and otherkin have a strong magical narrative of their own in a world that often likes to tell us who we are and who we are not, and mostly quite inaccurately so. It is the hope of The Silver Elves that in reading the magical narratives contained in this series and in this book Elfin, Fae and Otherkin Tribes that elfae kindred and otherkin will be inspired to begin if they have not already done so to create their own narrative or add to what they already remember and intuit. .

Book excerpt: WHAT AN ELF WOULD DO, TOO: Book Two of a Magical Guide to the Manners and Etiquette of the Faerie Folk is our second in a series of elfin manners books, the first one being What an Elf Would Do: A Magical Guide to the Manners and Etiquette of the Faerie Folk. You do not need to read the first volume before reading this one, although you would surely enjoy doing so as it is a wry, sly, often tongue in cheek view of how elves see and interact with the world of the Normal folk as well as with Otherkind of all sorts. This second volume continues to give and expand suggestions for elven etiquette in many of the same life situations as discussed in the first book, but this volume two also includes some modern social situations that were not really as prevalent at the time we published the first book. For instance, What An Elf Would Do, Too, includes an entire chapter on elven social skills in interacting successfully in social media. Also, in the last five years, mainly due to social media, the elven and otherkin communities have greatly expanded and have begun to awaken more and understand their unique and diverse kin types. This book two in the series further explores many situations that elven and faerie folk may find as they encounter a variety of elves and fae folk. What An Elf Would Do, Too begins with a discussion of each of the Seven Basic Laws (Guidelines) of Elven Hospitality, Etiquette and Manners. This gives the elfae (a word we Silver Elves coined that combines elf and fae and so includes elves and all other folk of the Faerie realm) an etiquette philosophy to follow that can be applied to about any situation in life that we encounter. Most of the discussions in this book come from people asking us questions about what they could do as they have encountered certain situations. A few of these questions of which there are 84 all total that we cover in this book are: What does an elf do if they are on social media and still feel lonely for their kindred? How do you deal with elfae groups in social media as an administrator? What does an elf do if they get put in 'Facebook Jail'? How do you deal with people who make fun of you when you are out in the world dressed as and expressing your elfae or otherkin s'elf? What do we do if someone gives us the Evil Eye? What does an elf do when they feel depressed but don't know whether they should express it or not? What does an elf do if they have a job that they hate? What do we do with people who refuse to eat our food because it is Faerie food? What does an elf do if they meet someone who knows they are an elf but derives their sense of s'elf totally from Tolkien's writings? How does a dark elf deal with those who act like he/she is an Unseelie fae? How do we interact with fae with different political beliefs from our own? How do we deal with individuals who say they are High Fae and think they are superior to others? How do you rear a child to be elfin or faerie and respectfully deal with others in the world? How do we deal with people who think we elfae steal children? How do we deal with people who have gender-based customs? How do we deal with those who seek to enforce their customs in our realms? Is it rude (or dangerous) to step into a Faerie Ring? Is it ok to do divination, energy work, spells, etc. on people without their permission? What An Elf Would Do, Too is designed to help the elfin everywhere to move through the often mysterious cultures of mankind with confidence and ease and to enjoy interacting in the Fae and Otherkin communities as well. You will find as you read along in this book that often we share what we Silver Elves have done in similar situations as being discussed, all to give at least our own experiences as examples of ways to deal with the world in what we have found to be both effective in our own life and as courteous as possible.

This book was released on 2018-07-25 with total page 260 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Elven Psychology: Understanding the Elfin Psyche and the Evolutionary and Esoteric Purpose of Mental Disorders expands the realms of modern psychology, which has never before included the elves and otherkin population as being real. If one says that they are an elf, most psychologists today will still hold you in suspect of having a delusionary disorder and try to evaluate you further. We explain in Elven Psychology why from a standard psychological point of view that believing you are an elf does not in itself constitute a disorder even in traditional psychology, and then we go much further and explore the disorders and psychological struggles that we observe in our modern society in both normal folk and elves/otherkin. This book is written from a unique elven perspective about the present day human condition, which includes an exploration of the psyche of both normal folk and elfae. We elves are elven by spirit, so our entrance into humanity is the addition of a new spiritual race, not a new physical race, and elves have been born in these modern times into all physical races, as well as most cultures and religions throughout the world. In fact, there are many who are following esoteric Ancient Wisdom Traditions, as well as some Tolkienists, who through the process of benevolent evolution, see 'elf as the new normal' or majority of humankind in the not so distant future. So, it is important to update many areas of academia that explore, express, and explain human life; psychology being one of these. In modern times, we Elves and otherkin have reincarnated in human form and thus the human population today has become even more diverse due to our presence. And since elves and otherkin are constantly growing in our own diversity and variations (we are an ever diversifying people), the human populous of which we are now a part is also becoming more varied by the day. This may sound like fiction to the 'normal folk, ' but just ask thousands around the world who understand thems'elves to be elves or otherkin, including all manner of faerie folk, and they will tell you with certainty that it is real. We look toward the future of humankind with our elven souls and know that we must all learn to unite, normal folk and elfae alike, to accept each other for all our uniqueness and beautiful variations. Both authors, Zardoa and Silver Flame, who write under the pen name The Silver Elves, have advanced graduate degrees in Depth Psychology and Art Therapy. We have used our academic and clinical backgrounds as well as life experiences living and sharing the Elven Way for over 40 years to identify a new way of perceiving the struggles of elves and otherkin living in the stressful modern world that sometimes results in psychological discomforts, as well as identifying the disorders of normal folk that have yet to be written about in modern psychology. While these are not the disorders you would find in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) that is published by the American Psychiatric Association as a standard criteria for the classification of mental disorders, in our opinion they need to be included to begin updating clinical psychology to include the existence of elven and faerie folk and our perspective. While we do not really support the use of categories like in the DSM to describe mental discomfort (people are far more complex than to limit our understanding of them by psychological classifications), we are adding the elven perspective and new classifications as a way of updating this important discipline. Since both of us had a number of graduate classes in the study of the DSM required for various clinical psychology degrees, we have long had many discussions together on how the elven perspective has been left out of the DSM. So here in Elven Psychology we share them with you in an often tongue in cheek fashion. If the elves were to write their own DSM, this book would be a good start!
