Book Your Spiritual Lineage Researching the Genealogy of Your Soul

Download or read book Your Spiritual Lineage Researching the Genealogy of Your Soul written by William Bray and published by iUniverse. This book was released on 2006-10-30 with total page 236 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Your Spiritual Lineage: Researching the Genealogy of Your Soul -Pioneering a New Understanding of the Origins of Personality Development- Traditional psychology proposes that personality development begins at birth. Instead this new study proposes that each of us has subconscious memories of past lives that form a much earlier origin. A child prodigy may be selectively "remembering" talents, skills, and accomplishments from a previous lifetime that he is building on early in this one. We are drawn to professions we are familiar with because we've done them before, and may choose places to live, visit or vacation because they are pleasant and familiar to us from a past life-walking on our own faded footprints without realizing it. When one of his students, in conversation, began quoting poetry of Arthur Rimbaud without knowing it, author William E. Bray, began exploring the possibility that his student might have been Rimbaud in a past lifetime. Subsequent research led him to develop a lineage chart showing that the spiritual lineage of Rimbaud stretched back through Andre Breton, Virgil and Alexander the Great. He shows how the adventures of Aeneas would have been based on Virgil's subconscious memories of his own exploits when he would have been Alcibiades in a past life. Each chapter leads the reader through an exciting search to discover the past lives of some of the world's most important figures. The book is also written as a guide to help the reader learn how to research his own past lives.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE" is my fifth book. Poetry is to educate people, to lead them away from hate to love, from violence to mercy and pity. Poetry is most compact form of literature. In this book, poems depict different aspects of human nature, changing times, present situations and nature. You read for yourself but while writing for others, one has to be aware as you articulate different situations, with positive thoughts. Sometime, pen is mightier than sword but we have to pen down our thoughts by keeping various factors in mind. I am following my dreams. I belonged to highly educated family of U.P. my parents molded me and siblings towards academic's and sports. My father was my inspiration, for my passion of writings. Poetry just happens, it connects the world. Imagination revolves around me., humanity is the biggest religion. God is my pillar of strength from other world but my loving, caring husband (a retired para military officer) and my family remained my strength. I am grateful to all of them. I am polite, positive hard working and loving person.I accept life with all its drawbacks. I enjoy the simple joys, hopes, fears and life of common man in metropolis and countryside as well. I love all forms of fine arts. I got many awards and trophies for my writings. Writing is my passion. 1. Book excerpt: “Five Stars...The fourth and final installment of the Tipsy Collins series...beautifully wraps up the characters’ journeys with a blend of paranormal intrigue and life lessons…” —Readers’ Favorite Things have been going great for Tipsy Collins, the Lowcountry’s favorite clairvoyant artistic genius. Her kids are happy and healthy, she’s producing and selling her celebrated paintings, and she’s engaged to the love of her life, psychiatrist Scott Brandt. Everyone in Tipsy’s life seems content, except Henry Mott, her mercurial supernatural roommate and wannabe literary virtuoso. Henry has been brooding for over a century, but lately, his discontent has gone into overdrive. His famous temper is out of control and he can’t write a single sentence. Henry’s malaise and its accompanying destruction threaten to complicate Tipsy and Scott’s family blending while her ex-husband haplessly navigates a second marriage crisis. As Henry slowly loses his mind, a series of unexplainable events has Tipsy combing through ghostly memories, meeting new friends and reuniting with old ones, exploring and testing the supernatural limits, and, as always, learning some priceless life lessons. True Indigo is the highly anticipated fourth and final installment in the award-winning Tipsy Collins Series.

Book Soldier F Guerillas in the Jungle

Download or read book Soldier F Guerillas in the Jungle written by Shaun Clarke and published by A&C Black. This book was released on 2013-12-12 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In 1948 Communist terrorists were waging a bloody war against estates and rubber-plantation owners in Malaya. Chased into the interior by British Army units, the guerrillas soon became experts at survival and evasion, emerging from the jungle only to launch increasingly ferocious attacks. In 1952, on the recommendation of Lieutenant-Colonel 'Mad' Mike Calvert, veteran of the Chindit campaigns in Burma, 22 SAS was formed as a special counter-insurgency force. Three years later the re-formed SAS began their jungle patrols. They learned how to survive for weeks at a time in hostile terrain, often waist-deep in water, and under attack from wild animals, leeches and poisonous insects. That extraordinary campaign climaxed in a nightmarish two weeks in the Telok Anson swamp tracking the troops of the notorious 'Baby Killer', Ah Hoi, while the regiment's dreadful and unforgettable experiences in the Malayan jungle laid the foundations for the SAS's legendary survival skills. Soldier F SAS: Guerrillas in the Jungle is the sixth in a series of novels based on this extraordinary regiment a thrilling 'factoid' adventure about the most daring soldiers in military history: the SAS!

Book A Year in the Life of a Southern Girl

Download or read book A Year in the Life of a Southern Girl written by Polly A. Bakker and published by Strategic Book Publishing & Rights Agency. This book was released on 2019-04-25 with total page 64 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When my grandmother passed away, I inherited a wonderful memento, a chest containing her handwritten twenty-page memoir. A Year in the Life of a Southern Girl features one year of my grandmother’s life around the year 1900, describing life in small town Arkansas at the turn of the century. In it, my paternal grandmother comes of age, tells her favorite funny family stories, and at the same time, demonstrates her faith in God. Along with her stories, I have also included my other grandmother’s tales, as well as my own research and stories. All these tales are fiction based on facts. The stories remind us of what we have forgotten of “the good old days,” how to be at peace even in the worst of times, and how to trust that life will get better. And, we should all share a laugh in the meantime.

Book Metafiction and the Postwar Novel

Download or read book Metafiction and the Postwar Novel written by Andrew Dean and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2021 with total page 193 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Metafiction and the Postwar Novel is a full-length reassessment of one of the definitive literary forms of the postwar period, sometimes known as 'postmodern metafiction'. In the place of large-scale theorizing, this book centres on the intimacies of writing situations - metafiction as it responds to readers, literary reception, and earlier works in a career. The emergence of archival materials and posthumously published works helps to bring into view the stakes of different moments of writing. It develops new terms for discussing literary self-reflexivity, derived from a reading of Don Quixote and its reception by J.L. Borges - the 'self of writing' and the 'public author as signature'. Across three comprehensive chapters, Metafiction and Postwar Fiction shows how some of the most highly-regarded postwar writers were motivated to incorporate reflexive elements into their writing - and to what ends. The first chapter, on South African novelist J. M. Coetzee, shows with a new clarity how his fictions drew from and relativized academic literary theory and the conditions of writing in apartheid South Africa. The second chapter, on New Zealand writer Janet Frame, draws widely from her fictions, autobiographies, and posthumously published materials. It demonstrates the terms in which her writing addresses a readership seemingly convinced that her work expressed the interior experience of 'madness'. The final chapter, on American writer Philip Roth, shows how his early reception led to his later, and often explosive, reconsiderations of identity and literary value in postwar America.

Book excerpt: Evoking Krakauer's Into the Wild, Dan Schultz tells the extraordinary true story of desperado survivalists, a brutal murder, and vigilante justice set against the harsh backdrop of the Colorado wilderness On a sunny May morning in 1998 in Cortez, Colorado, three desperados in a stolen truck opened fire on the town cop, shooting him twenty times; then they blasted their way past dozens of police cars and disappeared into 10,000 square miles of the harshest wilderness terrain on the North American continent. Self-trained survivalists, the outlaws eluded the most sophisticated law enforcement technology on the planet and a pursuit force that represented more than seventy-five local, state, and federal police agencies with dozens of swat teams, U.S. Army Special Forces, and more than five hundred officers from across the country. Dead Run is the first in-depth account of this sensational case, replete with overbearing local sheriffs, Native American trackers, posses on horseback, suspicion of vigilante justice and police cover-ups, and the blunders of the nation's most exalted crime-fighters pursuing outlaws into territory in which only they could survive.

Book Anonymity in Eighteenth Century Italian Publishing

Download or read book Anonymity in Eighteenth Century Italian Publishing written by Lodovica Braida and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2022-09-22 with total page 229 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book focuses on the different forms in which authorship came to be expressed in eighteenth-century Italian publishing. It analyses both the affirmation of the “author function”, and, above all, its paradoxical opposite: the use of anonymity, a centuries-old practice present everywhere in Europe but often neglected by scholarship. The reasons why authors chose to publish their works anonymously were manifold, including prudence, fear of censorship, modesty, fear of personal criticism, or simple divertissement. In many cases, it was an ethical choice, especially for ecclesiastics. The Italian case provides a key perspective on the study of anonymity in the European context, contributing to the analysis of an overlooked topic in academic studies.
