Book excerpt: Organizational climate has a potentially rich, but largely unrealized role in the development of an organization as well as to raise the motivation of employees. Researchers perceive problems arising from significant culture and different climate affecting the management and motivational level among the employees. The study examines the influence of organizational culture and climate on the motivation level among 100 adult employees working in Ranbaxy with the help of various questionnaires. In particular, organizational climate factors include environment, team work, management effectiveness, involvement, reward and recognition, competency and commitment. These factors have been found to influence the motivation and viewed as a multidimensional construct. The study is based on the non-probabilistic cum convenience sampling techniques. The results indicate that all eight variables are positively related to the motivation. It also tries to explain that to improve the motivation level among employees one must try to improve the organizational culture and climate.

That attention came from its significant practical and theoretical role in the field of management. To understand how motivation influences employees' behavior, we have to know that every employee is motivated differently based on their preferences and characteristics. Therefore, it is essential to discover individual motivation factors for each employee. This study examines the factors that stimulate employees' motivation and explain how to use those motivational factors to improve employees' performance and engagement. It focuses on three non-profit organizations in Egypt and provides empirical evidence of the link between the motivation and selected variables, which are the style of leadership, the reward system, and the organizational climate. A purposive sampling approach was adopted to collect data from administrative and technical staff members. The data were collected using the qualitative method by interviewing twelve participants from the professional and managerial levels at three non-profit organizations in Egypt. The findings showed that career growth, equitable pay and benefits, leadership style, and policies and procedures positively impact employees' motivation. Based on the findings of this study, the recommendations are to give more attention to the professional growth opportunity through using the succession plan technique to fill in the managerial role within the organization, which in turn helps in remapping the leadership style to a more impactful tool to increase motivation and engagement. Organizations can also adopt some strategies to boost their employees' motivation, from creating a positive workplace environment, opening a communication channel between employees and senior management, and creating more flexible and competitive policies and procedures that ensure equitable pay and benefits.

This study guided by the following research questions. To determine the methods used by employers to motivate employees in the MoNDP, to know the extent that extrinsic motivation affects employees’ performance in the MoNDP, To examine how intrinsic motivation affect employees’ performance in the MoNDP, To identify how motivation link with employee work performance. This study adopted a descriptive research design. The population of the study was 90 employees’ of the MoNDP. A census sampling was done and so the 90 employees constituted the sample size. A structured questionnaire was used to collect the data. The questionnaire was to administer by the researcher. The completed questionnaires were edited for completeness. The data were analyzed using the statistical package for social sciences (SPSS) computer package. The data were interpreted using descriptive statistics through frequencies, percentages and correlation analysis. The findings were presented in the form of tables and figures. The study found out that the ministry uses many different tools to motivate its employees. These include; payments on time, employee rotation within the ministry and salary provision. However, the study also found out that NDP does not use provide fringe benefits to its employees. It was also found out that ministry doesn’t pay its workers according to the amount of work they have done also when employees meet targets ministry doesn’t provide bonuses the ministry does not carry out training of its employees. The study also found out that the organization does not make sure that that employee's work is challenging or involve them in decision making as a way of motivating them. The research results indicated that there is a positive correlation between motivation and work performance. This means that changes in one variable are strongly correlated with changes in the second variable. Pearson’s r is .440**. This number is very close to one. For this reason, we can conclude that there is a strong relationship between motivation and employee performance variables
