Book excerpt: Introduction : Une communication adaptée, notamment à travers le courrier d'adressage, joue un rôle important dans la qualité des soins. Les relations interprofessionnelles entre médecins généralistes et chirurgiens-dentistes apparaissent nécessaire pour une prise en charge optimale de la santé bucco-dentaire des patients. Objectifs : Déterminer les éléments constituant la triade besoin, demande des dentistes par rapport à la communication effective offerte par les médecins généralistes dans le cadre de leurs pratiques courantes. Matériel et méthodes : Etude observationnelle, descriptive et transversale nationale, réalisée à l'aide d'un questionnaire destiné aux médecins généralistes et un questionnaire destiné aux chirurgiens-dentistes de février 2023 à avril 2023. Résultats : La communication entre les deux professions était jugée insuffisante par 91,4% coordination avec celui-ci, 20% avaient un correspondant CD régulier, 91,5% orientaient G orientaient à régulier de l'autre profession était un facteur significativement associé à l'envoi ou la réception de courrier d'adressage. Conclusion : Il apparait nécessaire d'accroître les interactions entre les deux professions, de favoriser le travail en groupe, améliorer la formation initiale et continue ainsi que de promouvoir des canaux de communication entre les CD et les MG, comme le courrier médical d'adressage. A l'aide d'une nouvelle étude, un courrier d'adressage standardisé pourrait être réalisé et proposé aux MG afin de les aider dans cette démarche.

Book excerpt: Health and social care in every system and in every country is labour intensive, and must be oriented to people's needs if it is to be effective. It is now widely recognized that human resources for health (HRH) are a key enabler for the attainment of universal health coverage, and for the achievement of Sustainable Development Goal (SDG) 3 - Ensure healthy lives and promote well-being for all at all ages. As is stressed in the Global Strategy on Human Resources for Health: Workforce 2030, there can be no viable national, or global, health system without an effective health workforce. The Global Strategy, adopted at the Sixty-ninth World Health Assembly in May 2016, challenges the erroneous narrative of health workers as a unit of cost in the production of health. The evidence instead presents an intersectoral agenda on the pre-condition of equitable access to health workers in the attainment of universal health coverage, along with a dynamic labour market understanding of the substantive impact on education, employment, jobs and innovation in the health and social care economy. The Global Strategy, therefore, enables governments and other relevant stakeholders to adopt a holistic, rather than fragmented, approach to ensuring that the health workforce contributes both to improved health and to broader socioeconomic development.
