Book Fabic I Choose Chart Poster Pack

Download or read book Fabic I Choose Chart Poster Pack written by Tanya Curtis and published by Fabic Publishing. This book was released on with total page 41 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This booklet offers a series of completed I Choose Charts that can be used by both the willing student of life and the forever teacher of life. Each chart represents a part of life that is typically experienced by many people. Some may have self-mastered some or all of these parts of life and others are yet to self-master them. Thus, some charts will be relevant to you or someone you know, while others will not. The charts can be used in relation to that particular part of life or as examples when completing your own I Choose Charts. At Fabic we have often shared that people either love Fabic and what we offer or they hate Fabic and what we offer. The reason is that our approach is very much based on self-responsibility. The I Choose Charts support us all to come to the understanding that we have a choice whether we respond or react to life. Thus, each chart is an offering that can support us or someone else to identify how responses and reactions to life impact on the outcomes obtained in life. That is, everyone chooses their wanted or preferred responses and likewise outcomes, while everyone may also choose their non-preferred reactions and thus their unwanted outcomes. The charts bring us to an understanding that we cannot change life; however, we can learn to change whether we respond or react to life. This booklet contains a series of completed I Choose Charts that can be used as a teaching and/or learning tool.

Book excerpt: Since 2006 when Fabic first began, we have been working with people from all walks of life ranging in age, culture, gender, developmental level, diagnosis, no diagnosis, etc. We have supported people with an array of challenges and the one thing everyone has had in common, is that they have been using behaviours and/or are working with people using behaviours they would prefer not to be using. There is much that can be taught in the clinical setting in regards to bringing lasting behaviour change; however, as I’ve always shared, it is not what happens in the clinic that will bring lasting change, rather what you choose to do with the information you have learnt when you go back to your everyday setting. One challenge, which remains ongoing for all people, is the consistency with generalising the skills learnt in the clinical setting to their everyday life and natural setting. The posters in this booklet have been developed to support the transition of the skills, principles and methodology used at Fabic into home, work, recreation – everywhere. We have designed this poster pack in a way that does not only offer visual charts that can be used in their relevant settings, but also provides a brief description about each of these charts. All posters are further expanded on with detailed descriptions, examples and instructions in the Body Life Skills books.

This book was released on 2023-01-17 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Digital age learners come to the science classroom equipped with a wide range of skills and a wealth of information at their fingertips. Although science and technology have enjoyed a symbiotic relationship, the ubiquity of information technologies requires teachers to modify instruction and experiences for K-12 science learners. Environmental and societal changes have impacted how and when students acquire and synthesize knowledge. These changes compel us to modify and adjust to improve the practice of teaching science to meet the unique needs of students who are growing up in a society dominated by connected digital devices, constant communication, and the ubiquity of information. Theoretical and Practical Teaching Strategies for K-12 Science Education in the Digital Age disseminates theory-informed practices for science teachers that increase their instructional effectiveness in teaching digital age learners. It communicates how to increase science educators’ understandings of the needs of digital age learners, develops theoretical and practical teaching strategies that align with science content, and integrates technologies for learning with fidelity. Covering topics such as design-based inclusive science, project-based learning, and science instruction, this premier reference source is an excellent resource for administrators and science educators within K-12 education, pre-service teachers, teacher educators, librarians, researchers, and academicians.
