Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Florencia wrote Divine Revelations because she discovered the relevance of the Bible to her life. What she discovered as she spent time in the Word revealed more than just God's love for mankind-it changed her life. She realized that as she took the time to meditate on God's Word, she became more aware of the Presence of God in her daily life, and who Christ is to her. Spending time perusing the Bible has allowed her to experience the hearts of God and of Jesus. It has also given her insight into the Omniscience and the Omnipotence of an Omnipresent and very loving God. She also realized that because God sacrificed His most priceless gift - Jesus- for her, He will never withhold any good thing from her. The same is true for you. She hopes that by sharing the truths she has discovered with you, this book will pique your curiosity about the relevance of God and His Son, and the Bible to your life.

Book Martial Arts Training Through The Teacher s Eyes

Download or read book Martial Arts Training Through The Teacher s Eyes written by GM David J. Harrell and published by Troubador Publishing Ltd. This book was released on 2016-11-04 with total page 240 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Embedded in the pages is the story of the making of a teacher of the martial arts and the methods he uses to teach martial arts to children and adults at the Traditional Martial Arts Institute based in Aberdeen, Scotland. The author, Grand Master David J. Harrell has dedicated most of his life to the study and practice of an ancient art of self defence, and to the development of those skills that would allow him to share his knowledge with the next generation. His book tells the story of his personal journey in martial arts and the lessons learned from fifty-three years of training. The book begins with the author’s introduction to martial arts in his home town in Suffolk at a time when segregation usually led to the exclusion of black children and adults from these white-dominated activities. Even at this early stage GM Harrell had a strong desire to teach and he asked his first, and every subsequent teacher to teach him to teach the martial arts. He goes on to describe those things that he learned from each of his teachers about how to share knowledge and skill with students of all ages and ability levels. In addition he reveals numerous insights gained from his many years of teaching and training. The book explains how he makes use of modern teaching methods and resources to replicate and remain faithful to what has been handed down to him by his instructors, including the traditions and values of martial art training.

  • Author : Kenneth Holmqvist

Download or read book Eye Tracking written by Kenneth Holmqvist and published by OUP Oxford. This book was released on 2011-09-22 with total page 793 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: We make 3-5 eye movements per second, and these movements are crucial in helping us deal with the vast amounts of information we encounter in our everyday lives. In recent years, thanks to the development of eye tracking technology, there has been a growing interest in monitoring and measuring these movements, with a view to understanding how we attend to and process the visual information we encounter Eye tracking as a research tool is now more accessible than ever, and is growing in popularity amongst researchers from a whole host of different disciplines. Usability analysts, sports scientists, cognitive psychologists, reading researchers, psycholinguists, neurophysiologists, electrical engineers, and others, all have a vested interest in eye tracking for different reasons. The ability to record eye-movements has helped advance our science and led to technological innovations. However, the growth of eye tracking in recent years has also presented a variety of challenges - in particular the issue of how to design an eye-tracking experiment, and how to analyse the data. This book is a much needed comprehensive handbook of eye tracking methodology. It describes how to evaluate and acquire an eye-tracker, how to plan and design an eye tracking study, and how to record and analyse eye-movement data. Besides technical details and theory, the heart of this book revolves around practicality - how raw data samples are converted into fixations and saccades using event detection algorithms, how the different representations of eye movement data are calculated using AOIs, heat maps and scanpaths, and how all the measures of eye movements relate to these processes. Part I presents the technology and skills needed to perform high-quality research with eye-trackers. Part II covers the predominant methods applied to the data which eye-trackers record. These include the parsing of raw sample data into oculomotor events, and how to calculate other representations of eye movements such as heat maps and transition matrices. Part III gives a comprehensive outline of the measures which can be calculated using the events and representations described in Part II. This is a taxonomy of the measures available to eye-tracking researchers, sorted by type of movement of the eyes and type of analysis. For anyone in the sciences considering conducting research involving eye-tracking, this book will be an essential reference work.

  • Pages : 203 pages

Download or read book TREESTAND CHATTER written by D. Jake Roberts and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2023-09-05 with total page 203 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Treestand Chatter invites you to head out with the author to his treestand. Though the treestand is typically used for archery hunts for whitetail deer, it is so much more than that. The more hours spent gawking at all that makes up nature itself leaves one in awe, appreciation, and worship of the God of the Word unfolded before your very eyes. Chatter can refer to your inner thoughts, your prayers, the fowl speech of geese, turkeys, chickadees, eagles, hawks, owls, and more. Accompanied by a number of good books is his pocket-size New Testament with Psalms and Proverbs. Along with a cell phone that's useful for searching the Internet, you and the author can be mesmerized by these written chatter forms while seated safely and comfortably in your secure treestand. Noticeably, chatter can also refer to the grunts, hisses, mews, bleats, and bugles of those who call the forest floor home. God speaks to us in parables, metaphors, and analogies, and Treestand Chatter is a myriad of analogies transcending from the obvious to the very height and glory of our creator's design and intent. One definition of intelligence is, "the ability to make an analogy." The Lord Jesus teaches effectively through His profuse use of metaphors, symbols, similes, analogies, and parables to elevate us from what we already understand to the heights and goals of what He yet desires for us to understand. From the proboscis of an annoying mosquito to the perfection of some critter's camo, to the traits and habits that are on constant display, it's breathtaking! Far more often than not, you leave the treestand without a harvest of venison but never without a captivated memory bank of sights, smells, and sounds. The author is deeply stirred by precious hours spent in this elevated perch undetected by the panoply of passers-by. Your invitation includes a vicarious pondering of all things nature with the author...and with Author and Creator God. Come on in, climb on up! 92
