For practical exhibition of Paul's teaching on personal daily intimacy between Christ and His people, Rutherford's letters have never been equalled, nor are likely to be on this side our Lord's return. In the following commentary I have endeavoured to reproduce the thought of the letter in the verbal expression employed by the Apostle. Two words determine that thought pleroma (fulness) and musterion (secret). By keeping these prominent, and giving them their Pauline adjustment to each other, the letter has been found much less difficult to follow.
