Book OSCEs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Download or read book OSCEs in Obstetrics and Gynaecology written by Janice Rymer and published by . This book was released on 1998 with total page 163 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. The student has to circulate past a number of 'stations' within a specified time interval and then answer questions on the case. Stations could be a photograph, a radiograph, a specimen, or a patient. Because of the time limit there is a technique required for success. This book gives students practice in OSCE examinations, comprising 4 OSCE-style examinations. Each consists of roughly 25 'stations', including colour photographs and radiographs. After each set, full explanatory answers are given. There is also a useful chapter on OSCE technique and the best way to approach this type of assessment.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: OB/GYN Board Exam Secrets is a high-yield reference, now in its Fourth Edition, that targets and summarizes what you need to know for your upcoming ABOG exams in 2021. For many candidates, board preparation is an intimidating "behind closed doors" process but this book, which has been years in the making, is the first to expose those well-kept secrets and is an absolute must-read. Your Qualifying and Certifying Examinations are not just another round of routine tests. The harsh reality is that most obstetricians and gynecologists have never even been exposed to an oral format, let alone been taught the best preparation methods for such an exam. It may feel like a game in which you are literally left to fend for yourself and ascertain the rules on your own. But in actuality, it is far from being a sport and the stakes could not be higher. This resource is definitely the most up-to-date, in-depth guide for taking these exams and is the perfect resource for residents and fellows alike, as well as for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists. That is because it takes information from a great number of sources, some of which are obscure and difficult to access, and puts it all into one concise, easy-to-read text that will save you countless hours of research on your own. Special thanks goes to Abby Morgan, director of sales and marketing for the Warwick Melrose-Dallas Hotel, for her generous assistance in furnishing the photos for this book.
