Book Everybody s Best Friend

Download or read book Everybody s Best Friend written by Ken Englade and published by Diversion Books. This book was released on 2023-04-04 with total page 319 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The shocking murder that exposed a devoted husband as a cold-hearted killer. Inside a beautiful house in Philadelphia's ritzy Main Line section lay the body of a young mother—dead of an apparent drowning in her bathtub. With no sign of a break-in, no history of marital problems, and the naïve belief that these things sometimes just happen, Stefanie Rabinowitz's family prepared to bury the twenty-nine-year-old wife and mother. But at the eleventh hour, because Stefanie was so young, and because there were no witnesses to her death, an autopsy was ordered. What it revealed was unthinkable: Stefanie had been murdered, strangled in her home then dragged into the tub to stage a fake drowning. Even more shocking was the suspected killer, Stefanie's husband, Craig: devoted family man, loyal husband, and "everybody's best friend." When the astounding truth began to emerge, so did the tawdry double life of Craig Rabinowitz, a man so obsessed with a two-thousand-dollar-a-week exotic dancer, that his habit caused him to look to the insurance money he would get from murdering his wife. Now, with exclusive interviews and startling inside details, bestselling author Ken Englade blows wide open the shocking true account of a storybook marriage that ended in bone-chilling murder.

Book Everybody Has a Story Everybody s Story Counts

Download or read book Everybody Has a Story Everybody s Story Counts written by Silvio Tomeo-Nosdow and published by LifeRich Publishing. This book was released on 2022-08-15 with total page 750 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this hybrid-memoir, inspired by his faith in Christ, Silvio takes a very honest, open-minded, and intrinsic look at the first thirty-three years of his existence. In this Volume I; he chronicles his first twenty-three years. From birth, through the early days, then through adolescence and the rough teenage years, up until when he graduates from college, Silvio examines why he made certain decisions along the way and how those decisions effected the trajectory of his life’s path. In Volume II, Silvio takes a very introspective journey through his adult life, after college. He shares his experiences in the professional world, as well as his very personal adventures in faith, family, friendship, or as Silvio refers to it; brotherhood, and of course; love. He ends Volume II at age thirty-three, a very pivotal point in his life when he found himself at yet another impasse both professionally and romantically. This memoir pays constant tribute to those who impacted Silvio amidst those first thirty-three years. From many family members, to friends, teachers, coaches and pastors, Silvio details very specific memories that took place with those influential individuals. How much better of a place would the world be if we all not only looked for the positives in the experiences we’ve shared with others, but we took the time to document those experiences and told people what they meant to us and what we learned from them?

Book excerpt: Are breaktimes really just a time of violence and bullying that could be better used for working? Based on a unique and fascinating longitudinal study of a group of pupils from primary to secondary school, the author of this timely new book proposes an alternative view. He believes that breaktime plays an important part in children's social development, and through his gathering of pupil's own views on breaktimes over a period of ten years, we see how breaktimes offer children time to play; to develop friendships; to build social networks; to develop social skills and competence; to be independent from adults; and to learn to manage conflict, aggression and inter-group relations. Where else will they learn these important skills if not in the playground? What will happen in a society where these skills are not developed?

  • Author : Roger Ebert

Download or read book Your Movie Sucks written by Roger Ebert and published by Andrews McMeel Publishing. This book was released on 2007-03-01 with total page 364 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A collection of some of the Pulitzer Prize–winning film critic’s most scathing reviews, from Alex & Emma to the remake of Yours, Mine, and Ours. From Roger’s review of Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo (0 stars): “The movie created a spot of controversy in February 2005. According to a story by Larry Carroll of MTV News, Rob Schneider took offense when Patrick Goldstein of the Los Angeles Times listed this year's Best Picture nominees and wrote that they were 'ignored, unloved, and turned down flat by most of the same studios that . . . bankroll hundreds of sequels, including a follow-up to Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, a film that was sadly overlooked at Oscar time because apparently nobody had the foresight to invent a category for Best Running Penis Joke Delivered by a Third-Rate Comic.' Schneider retaliated by attacking Goldstein in full-page ads in Daily Variety and the Hollywood Reporter. In an open letter to Goldstein, Schneider wrote: “Well, Mr. Goldstein, I decided to do some research to find out what awards you have won. I went online and found that you have won nothing. Absolutely nothing. No journalistic awards of any kind . . . . Maybe you didn’t win a Pulitzer Prize because they haven’t invented a category for Best Third-Rate, Unfunny Pompous Reporter Who’s Never Been Acknowledged by His Peers . . . .” Schneider was nominated for a 2000 Razzie Award for Worst Supporting Actor but lost to Jar-Jar Binks. But Schneider is correct, and Patrick Goldstein has not yet won a Pulitzer Prize. Therefore, Goldstein is not qualified to complain that Columbia financed Deuce Bigalow: European Gigolo while passing on the opportunity to participate in Million Dollar Baby, Ray, The Aviator, Sideways, and Finding Neverland. As chance would have it, I have won the Pulitzer Prize, and so I am qualified. Speaking in my official capacity as a Pulitzer Prize winner, Mr. Schneider, your movie sucks.” Roger Ebert’s I Hated Hated Hated This Movie, which gathered some of his most scathing reviews, was a bestseller. This collection continues the tradition, reviewing not only movies that were at the bottom of the barrel, but also movies that he found underneath the barrel.
