Book excerpt: El presente trabajo tiene por objetivo evaluar el nivel de desempeño de las funciones asociadas a la tutoría percibido por una muestra representativa de 605 profesores-tutores de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria de la Comunidad Valenciana. Para ello, en una primera fase, se aplica el Cuestionario EFAT (Evaluación de las Funciones asociadas a la Acción Tutorial) para conocer el tiempo real e ideal que los tutores dedican al cumplimiento de las tareas, funciones y objetivos que determinan el modelo teórico de referencia. A continuación, se estima el nivel de desempeño como la distancia entre la dedicación real y el promedio del tiempo ideal que los tutores consideran que deberían dedicar. Los resultados del análisis factorial confirmatorio de segundo orden multigrupo muestra cómo los valores de ajuste del modelo son similares a los obtenidos en validaciones previas del instrumento EFAT. Respecto al nivel de desempeño, la percepción de los tutores muestra un mayor desajuste entre la dedicación real e ideal en aquellas funciones relacionadas con la personalización de la enseñanza para procurar el máximo desarrollo integral del alumnado. A su vez, se observan diferencias estadísticamente significativas en este nivel de desempeño en función del curso en el que se es tutor, la especialidad y el sexo. Este trabajo constituye una primera contribución en la evaluación del nivel de desempeño de una tarea tan compleja y multidimensional como es la acción tutorial y supone un antecedente para futuros trabajos dirigidos a profundizar en las principales razones que subyacen a las opiniones de los tutores sobre este nivel de desempeño.

To address these critical unmet needs in the field of HRQOL assessment, and to advance scientific methods and clinical applications in this field, a conference was held at Case Western Reserve University. The conference set out to summarize current information concerning the development and implementation of measures of HRQOL assessment, to identify and consider key conceptual and methodological issues in research concerning the measurement of HRQOL, and to recommend priorities to advance the state-of-the-art in research and clinical applications of QOL assessment in children and adolescents with chronic health conditions. This volume summarizes and synthesizes the information that was presented by the conference participants in a series of lively discussions and chapters that were based on the presentations.

The 2019 revision of the World Population Prospects is the twenty-sixth edition of the official United Nations population estimates and projections, which have been prepared since 1951 by the Population Division of the Department of Economic and Social Affairs. The 2019 revision presents population estimates from 1950 until the present for 235 countries or areas, which have been developed through country-specific analyses of historical demographic trends. It builds on previous revisions by incorporating additional results from the 2010 and 2020 rounds of national population censuses as well as information from vital registration and recent nationally representative household sample surveys. The 2019 revision also presents population projections to the year 2100 that reflect a range of plausible outcomes at the global, regional and country levels. These Highlights summarise key population trends described by the estimates and projections presented in World Population Prospects 2019.
