Book ETUDE DE COMPORTEMENTS HYDRODYNAMIQUES PAR SIMULATION NUMERIQUE DE L EQUATION DE SCHRODINGER NON LINEAIRE

Download or read book ETUDE DE COMPORTEMENTS HYDRODYNAMIQUES PAR SIMULATION NUMERIQUE DE L EQUATION DE SCHRODINGER NON LINEAIRE written by CAROLINE.. NORE and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 186 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LES ECOULEMENTS CLASSIQUES SONT DECRITS PAR L'EQUATION D'EULER POUR LES FLUIDES PARFAITS ET LES EQUATIONS DE NAVIER-STOKES POUR LES FLUIDES VISQUEUX. LES SUPERFLUIDES OBEISSENT A L'EQUATION DE SCHRODINGER NON LINEAIRE (ESNL) QUI AGIT SUR UNE FONCTION D'ONDE COMPLEXE RELIEE A LA DENSITE ET A LA VITESSE DU SUPERFLUIDE PAR LA TRANSFORMATION DE MADELUNG. UN SUPERFLUIDE EST IRROTATIONNEL, SAUF PRES DES LIGNES NODALES DE LA FONCTION D'ONDE QUI SONT DES FILAMENTS TOURBILLONNAIRES NON SINGULIERS ET DE CIRCULATION DE VITESSE QUANTIFIEE. DANS CETTE THESE, NOUS ETUDIONS LES COMPORTEMENTS HYDRODYNAMIQUES DECRITS PAR ESNL. NOUS CARACTERISONS QUANTITATIVEMENT LE REGIME ACOUSTIQUE (DISPERSIF ET NON LINEAIRE). NOUS PRESENTONS UNE METHODE DE PREPARATION DE DONNEES INITIALES PERMETTANT, EN MINIMISANT L'EMISSION D'ONDES ACOUSTIQUES, D'ETUDIER NUMERIQUEMENT, AVEC ESNL, DES ECOULEMENTS CISAILLES TRIDIMENSIONNELS. NOS SIMULATIONS MONTRENT QU'AVEC UN NOMBRE SUFFISANT DE FILAMENTS, LA ROTATION MOYENNE DU SUPERFLUIDE REPRODUIT CELLE D'UN FLUIDE CLASSIQUE ROTATIONNEL, INCLUANT DES PHENOMENES DE RECONNEXION. AINSI ESNL CONSTITUE UNE ALTERNATIVE AUX EQUATIONS CLASSIQUES POUR L'ETUDE NUMERIQUE DES MECANISMES GENERIQUES DE LA DYNAMIQUE DE VORTICITE. NOUS ETUDIONS LA DIFFUSION DU SON PAR DES TOURBILLONS QUANTIQUES, A L'AIDE DE ESNL, ANALYTIQUEMENT DANS LE CADRE DE L'APPROXIMATION DE BORN ET NUMERIQUEMENT. COMPAREE AU CAS DE LA DIFFUSION CLASSIQUE, L'ONDE DIFFUSEE EST PRODUITE PAR LA VARIATION DE DENSITE AU CUR DU TOURBILLON. IL EN RESULTE UN DEPHASAGE SUPPLEMENTAIRE. NOUS DONNONS LES ORDRES DE GRANDEUR RELATIFS A LA DIFFUSION DU SON PAR DES TOURBILLONS DE L'HELIUM DANS UNE EVENTUELLE EXPERIENCE. ENFIN, NOUS ECRIVONS DES CONDITIONS SUFFISANTES DE STABILITE NON LINEAIRE, EN UTILISANT UN FORMALISME GENERALISE, POUR DES EQUATIONS D'EAU PEU PROFONDE, QUI CONSTITUENT UNE LIMITE ASYMPTOTIQUE A GRANDE LONGUEUR D'ONDE DE ESNL

Book Scale Relativity And Fractal Space time A New Approach To Unifying Relativity And Quantum Mechanics

Download or read book Scale Relativity And Fractal Space time A New Approach To Unifying Relativity And Quantum Mechanics written by Laurent Nottale and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2011-06-17 with total page 766 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book provides a comprehensive survey of the development of the theory of scale relativity and fractal space-time. It suggests an original solution to the disunified nature of the classical-quantum transition in physical systems, enabling the basis of quantum mechanics on the principle of relativity, provided this principle is extended to scale transformations of the reference system. In the framework of such a newly generalized relativity theory (including position, orientation, motion and now scale transformations), the fundamental laws of physics may be given a general form that unifies and thus goes beyond the classical and quantum regimes taken separately. A related concern of this book is the geometry of space-time, which is described as being fractal and nondifferentiable. It collects and organizes theoretical developments and applications in many fields, including physics, mathematics, astrophysics, cosmology and life sciences.

Book MODELISATION MATHEMATIQUE ET SIMULATION NUMERIQUE D INSTABILITES HYDRODYNAMIQUES EN PRESENCE DE CONDUCTION DE CHALEUR NON LINEAIRE

Download or read book MODELISATION MATHEMATIQUE ET SIMULATION NUMERIQUE D INSTABILITES HYDRODYNAMIQUES EN PRESENCE DE CONDUCTION DE CHALEUR NON LINEAIRE written by DAVID.. HATEAU and published by . This book was released on 2001 with total page 249 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: DEPUIS UNE TRENTAINE D'ANNEES, L'INSTABILITE DU FRONT D'ABLATION FAIT L'OBJET DE NOMBREUSES ETUDES VISANT A PREDIRE SON DEVELOPPEMENT. LES MODELES D'INSTABILITE THEORIQUES DEVELOPPES AU COURS DE CETTE PERIODE, QUI REPOSENT POUR LA PLUPART SUR DES HYPOTHESES SIMPLIFICATRICES CONCERNANT L'ECOULEMENT, NE PERMETTENT PAS DE DECRIRE AVEC PRECISION LA COMPLEXITE DES PHENOMENES ETUDIES. LES TRAVAUX EFFECTUES DANS LE CADRE DE CETTE THESE PROPOSENT UNE APPROCHE PLUS SYSTEMATIQUE BASEE SUR LA SIMULATION NUMERIQUE. A CET EFFET, UN CODE DE PERTURBATION HYDRODYNAMIQUE LAGRANGIEN TENANT COMPTE DE LA CONDUCTION THERMIQUE NON-LINEAIRE EST DEVELOPPE ET DES MODELES DE VALIDATION SONT MIS EN PLACE. LA METHODE NUMERIQUE UTILISE UN SPLITTING DES TERMES CONVECTIFS ET DIFFUSIFS PRESENTS DANS LES SYSTEMES DE BASE ET DE PERTURBATION. POUR CHAQUE ETAPE DE RESOLUTION, DES SCHEMAS NUMERIQUES SPECIFIQUES SONT MIS EN UVRE. LA PHASE CONVECTIVE EST RESOLUE AU MOYEN DE SCHEMAS DE TYPE VOLUMES FINIS COMPRENANT UN SCHEMA DE ROE ET SA VERSION LINEARISEE. EN CE QUI CONCERNE LA PHASE DIFFUSIVE, UN SCHEMA AUX DIFFERENCES FINIES IMPLICITE LINEARISE EST ADOPTE POUR L'ECOULEMENT DE BASE ET UN SCHEMA D'EULER RETROGRADE EST ASSOCIE AUX PERTURBATIONS. EN PARALLELE A DES MODELES DE VALIDATION ACADEMIQUES (EQUATION DE DIFFUSION NON-LINEAIRE, CHOCS DIFFUSIFS, INSTABILITE DE KELVIN-HELMHOLTZ), UNE APPLICATION DE CETTE METHODE NUMERIQUE A L'ETUDE DE L'INSTABILITE DU FRONT D'ABLATION EST PRESENTEE.

Book Geometric Properties of Banach Spaces and Nonlinear Iterations

Download or read book Geometric Properties of Banach Spaces and Nonlinear Iterations written by Charles Chidume and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-03-27 with total page 337 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The contents of this monograph fall within the general area of nonlinear functional analysis and applications. We focus on an important topic within this area: geometric properties of Banach spaces and nonlinear iterations, a topic of intensive research e?orts, especially within the past 30 years, or so. In this theory, some geometric properties of Banach spaces play a crucial role. In the ?rst part of the monograph, we expose these geometric properties most of which are well known. As is well known, among all in?nite dim- sional Banach spaces, Hilbert spaces have the nicest geometric properties. The availability of the inner product, the fact that the proximity map or nearest point map of a real Hilbert space H onto a closed convex subset K of H is Lipschitzian with constant 1, and the following two identities 2 2 2 ||x+y|| =||x|| +2 x,y +||y|| , (?) 2 2 2 2 ||?x+(1??)y|| = ?||x|| +(1??)||y|| ??(1??)||x?y|| , (??) which hold for all x,y? H, are some of the geometric properties that char- terize inner product spaces and also make certain problems posed in Hilbert spaces more manageable than those in general Banach spaces. However, as has been rightly observed by M. Hazewinkel, “... many, and probably most, mathematical objects and models do not naturally live in Hilbert spaces”. Consequently, toextendsomeoftheHilbertspacetechniquestomoregeneral Banach spaces, analogues of the identities (?) and (??) have to be developed.

Book Handbook of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations

Download or read book Handbook of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations written by Andrei D. Polyanin and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2004-06-02 with total page 835 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Handbook of Nonlinear Partial Differential Equations is the latest in a series of acclaimed handbooks by these authors and presents exact solutions of more than 1600 nonlinear equations encountered in science and engineering--many more than any other book available. The equations include those of parabolic, hyperbolic, elliptic and other types, and the authors pay special attention to equations of general form that involve arbitrary functions. A supplement at the end of the book discusses the classical and new methods for constructing exact solutions to nonlinear equations. To accommodate different mathematical backgrounds, the authors avoid wherever possible the use of special terminology, outline some of the methods in a schematic, simplified manner, and arrange the equations in increasing order of complexity. Highlights of the Handbook:

Book Introduction to Nonsmooth Optimization

Download or read book Introduction to Nonsmooth Optimization written by Adil Bagirov and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-08-12 with total page 377 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is the first easy-to-read text on nonsmooth optimization (NSO, not necessarily differentiable optimization). Solving these kinds of problems plays a critical role in many industrial applications and real-world modeling systems, for example in the context of image denoising, optimal control, neural network training, data mining, economics and computational chemistry and physics. The book covers both the theory and the numerical methods used in NSO and provide an overview of different problems arising in the field. It is organized into three parts: 1. convex and nonconvex analysis and the theory of NSO; 2. test problems and practical applications; 3. a guide to NSO software. The book is ideal for anyone teaching or attending NSO courses. As an accessible introduction to the field, it is also well suited as an independent learning guide for practitioners already familiar with the basics of optimization.

Book Nonsmooth Optimization

Download or read book Nonsmooth Optimization written by Claude Lemarechal and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2014-05-19 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Nonsmooth Optimization contains the proceedings of a workshop on non-smooth optimization (NSO) held from March 28 to April 8,1977 in Austria under the auspices of the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis. The papers explore the techniques and theory of NSO and cover topics ranging from systems of inequalities to smooth approximation of non-smooth functions, as well as quadratic programming and line searches. Comprised of nine chapters, this volume begins with a survey of Soviet research on subgradient optimization carried out since 1962, followed by a discussion on rates of convergence in subgradient optimization. The reader is then introduced to the method of subgradient optimization in an abstract setting and the minimal hypotheses required to ensure convergence; NSO and nonlinear programming; and bundle methods in NSO. A feasible descent algorithm for linearly constrained least squares problems is described. The book also considers sufficient minimization of piecewise-linear univariate functions before concluding with a description of the method of parametric decomposition in mathematical programming. This monograph will be of interest to mathematicians and mathematics students.
