Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book "Eternal Laws - New Mankind" provides information about the origin of the spirit of man and the meaning of his life on Earth. We are part of the great changes that are not happening by accident but by the lawful course of events geared towards the collapse of all that is wrong. Recognizing the unfortunate consequences of our present life and experiencing them ourselves opens up for us the path to a new life, based on the adoption of immutable universal laws. This is happening for the welfare of the new mankind which is brought back to its own heart - to the spirit and at the same time to the desire to fulfil the true meaning of life on Earth. The book with its simple and logical construction, provides a compact picture of Universe and humanity. It familiarizes the perceptive reader with eternal laws, working evenly and unwaveringly throughout Creation, with the principal power penetrating the Universe, with the composition of the material and immaterial worlds as well and above all with the highest source itself, from which all life springs. Thanks to the discovery and naming of negative influences that lead a humanity down the wrong path, the book will lead the reader to freedom from their misguided opinions and pointless suffering. Last but not least, it will lead the reader to the main source of knowledge, from which the author herself drew. This source remains unknown and misunderstood to contemporary people fully absorbed by earthly cares. The role of the author was to make it accessible to us in a new, easier form. The original book trilogy "Eternal Laws" was written in 1997-98. After its completion, the author suddenly left the world at the end of the year 1998. The books met with great interest of readers and have been translated into several languages. Thanks to their timelessness, they are still up to date. The English version of the first episode of book trilogy called Eternal Laws 1 - New Mankind is now available to you.

What does it mean to say that there is an eternal mathematical law underpinning all of physical reality? How must we expand our narrow conception of science to include not only logic but also intuition, consciousness, and the pursuit of beauty, symmetry, simplicity, and unity? Is truth objective, or is it nothing more than a whimsical projection of opinions? Why were many of the key founders of modern science inevitably drawn to ancient Greek philosophy? Spencer's extraordinary clarity helps to restore a sane vision of reality, while deepening our appreciation of what Einstein called 'the mysterious'.

Book Commentary on Thomas Aquinas s Treatise on Law

Download or read book Commentary on Thomas Aquinas s Treatise on Law written by J. Budziszewski and published by Cambridge University Press. This book was released on 2014-09-22 with total page 521 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Natural moral law stands at the center of Western ethics and jurisprudence and plays a leading role in interreligious dialogue. Although the greatest source of the classical natural law tradition is Thomas Aquinas's Treatise on Law, the Treatise is notoriously difficult, especially for nonspecialists. J. Budziszewski has made this formidable work luminous. This book - the first classically styled, line-by-line commentary on the Treatise in centuries - reaches out to philosophers, theologians, social scientists, students, and general readers alike. Budziszewski shows how the Treatise facilitates a dialogue between author and reader. Explaining and expanding upon the text in light of modern philosophical developments, he expounds this work of the great thinker not by diminishing his reasoning, but by amplifying it.

Book Aristotle and Natural Law

Download or read book Aristotle and Natural Law written by Tony Burns and published by Bloomsbury Publishing. This book was released on 2011-10-27 with total page 225 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Aristotle and Natural Law lays out a new theoretical approach which distinguishes between the notions of 'interpretation,' 'appropriation,' 'negotiation' and 'reconstruction' of the meaning of texts and their component concepts. These categories are then deployed in an examination of the role which the concept of natural law is used by Aristotle in a number of key texts. The book argues that Aristotle appropriated the concept of natural law, first formulated by the defenders of naturalism in the 'nature versus convention debate' in classical Athens. Thereby he contributed to the emergence and historical evolution of the meaning of one of the most important concept in the lexicon of Western political thought. Aristotle and Natural Law argues that Aristotle's ethics is best seen as a certain type of natural law theory which does not allow for the possibility that individuals might appeal to natural law in order to criticize existing laws and institutions. Rather its function is to provide them with a philosophical justification from the standpoint of Aristotle's metaphysics.

Book Theophany

    Book Details:
  • Author : Eric D. Perl
  • Publisher : State University of New York Press
  • Release : 2012-02-01
  • ISBN : 079148002X
  • Pages : 178 pages

Download or read book Theophany written by Eric D. Perl and published by State University of New York Press. This book was released on 2012-02-01 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The work of Pseudo-Dionysius the Areopagite stands at a cusp in the history of thought: it is at once Hellenic and Christian, classical and medieval, philosophical and theological. Unlike the predominantly theological or text-historical studies which constitute much of the scholarly literature on Dionysius, Theophany is completely philosophical in nature, placing Dionysius within the tradition of ancient Greek philosophy and emphasizing, in a positive light, his continuity with the non-Christian Neoplatonism of Plotinus and Proclus. Eric D. Perl offers clear expositions of the reasoning that underlies Neoplatonic philosophy and explains the argumentation that leads to and supports Neoplatonic doctrines. He includes extensive accounts of fundamental ideas in Plotinus and Proclus, as well as Dionysius himself, and provides an excellent philosophical defense of Neoplatonism in general.

Book Plotinus Or the Simplicity of Vision

Download or read book Plotinus Or the Simplicity of Vision written by Pierre Hadot and published by University of Chicago Press. This book was released on 1998-04-28 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since its original publication in France in 1963, Pierre Hadot's lively philosophical portrait of Plotinus remains the preeminent introduction to the man and his thought. Michael Chase's lucid translation—complete with a useful chronology and analytical bibliography—at last makes this book available to the English-speaking world. Hadot carefully examines Plotinus's views on the self, existence, love, virtue, gentleness, and solitude. He shows that Plotinus, like other philosophers of his day, believed that Plato and Aristotle had already articulated the essential truths; for him, the purpose of practicing philosophy was not to profess new truths but to engage in spiritual exercises so as to live philosophically. Seen in this light, Plotinus's counsel against fixation on the body and all earthly matters stemmed not from disgust or fear, but rather from his awareness of the negative effect that bodily preoccupation and material concern could have on spiritual exercises.
