Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book, written by acknowledged experts with international reputations, provides clinicians with detailed guidelines on the nature of the ideal anterior dental implant and, more importantly, how the desired aesthetic outcome is to be achieved. It reflects the incredible paradigm shift that has taken place within implant dentistry during the past 5 years, with recognition of the importance of a ‘crown down’ approach to diagnosis, planning, and treatment, especially in the anterior zone. In order to ensure reproducibility and predictability of treatment outcomes, the fabrication of an aesthetic dental implant must follow a complex algorithm, which is reviewed in a stepwise approach. Sections are devoted to evaluation of the aesthetic implant patient, immediate implant placement, staged implant placement, and restoration. Readers will come to appreciate how the final emergence profile of the definitive restoration reflects the complex interplay of components below the visible smile zone. Helpful flow charts are included that will assist in optimal performance of the described procedures.

Book Perio Esthetics and Implant Prosthodontics in Anterior Rehabilitation

Download or read book Perio Esthetics and Implant Prosthodontics in Anterior Rehabilitation written by Abhinav Gupta and published by Educreation Publishing. This book was released on 2018-05-10 with total page 103 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Esthetics is the prime concern in today's dental care both for the patient and the treatment provider. Esthetic dentistry is just not limited to color matching restorations but soft tissue considerations like position of the lips, color and contour of gingiva around teeth also play a very important role in overall esthetic appearance of face. Providing an esthetic restoration in the anterior region of the mouth has been the basis of peril-implant esthetics. Period esthetics or Periodontal plastic surgeries in its broad term covers various procedures either around natural teeth or dental implant fixtures in the esthetic zone. This may range from crown lengthening procedures, coverage of denuded root surfaces, ridge augmentation, periodontal prosthetic corrections and cosmetic surgical corrections around dental implants. Prosthetics also plays an equal important role in implant esthetics. Various prosthetic parameters like 3 D implant placement, implant abutment interface, provisionalisation during interim period, choice of abutment material, digital dentistry etc. are important factors at the pinnacle of successful outcome. This book is a comprehensive overview of clinical techniques related to Periodontal esthetics and Implant Esthetics.

Book The Comparison of Dental Implant Surfaces and Their Effect on Osseointegration in the Aesthetic Zone Clinical and Radiographic Case Report

Download or read book The Comparison of Dental Implant Surfaces and Their Effect on Osseointegration in the Aesthetic Zone Clinical and Radiographic Case Report written by Gozlu Muammer and published by . This book was released on 2017 with total page pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The comparison of dental implant surfaces and their effect on osseointegration in the aesthetic zone ; Clinical and Radiographic case reportBackground: Recent studies have encouraged a progressive shortening of the healing period for single-tooth implants and immediate loading has been proposed for the aesthetic zone in the maxilla. The biological fixation between the dental implant surfaces and jaw bones should be considered a prerequisite for the long-term success of implant-supported prostheses.Aim/Hypothesis : The aim of this case is to compare the effectiveness of immediate single implants with different surface in the aesthetic zone.Materials and Methods : Patients requiring a single tooth implant-supported restoration in the maxillary esthetic zone received the implant with rough surface and combine surface (rough surface + machined surface) placed in healed sites. The combine implant surfaces is also called hybrid implant. Implants that achieved an insertion torque of at least 35 Ncm were immediately non-occlusally loaded. The screw-retained provisional crown was delivered within 7 hours following the surgery and non functionally loaded. The definitive prosthesis was delivered within 2 months after implant insertion. Two months later the osteointegration progress was evaluated in all installed implants using: Dental X-rays and Osstellu2122 system. Results : After two months period of healing, high level of integration was observed. The stability of these implants was measured using Osstellu2122 system. These implants showed higher values ; ISQ 75 (hybrid) and 76 (rough surface), respectively. It also observed a good soft tissue adaptation clinically. No complications were observed. Radiographic bone changes were similar in both dental implants. Conclusions and Clinical implications :Both implants is a valuable treatment option for immediate implant placement and loading of single crowns in the maxillary esthetic zone.

Book Integrated Esthetics in Periodontics and Implantology

Download or read book Integrated Esthetics in Periodontics and Implantology written by Fausto Frizzera and published by Quintessenz Verlag. This book was released on 2022-06-22 with total page 796 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many books include an inherent bias: The authors specialize in a certain beloved technique and attempt to apply this technique to multiple clinical situations while glorifying the successes and dismissing the failures. Or it is written by researchers so wrapped up in science and academia that they forget what it really means to run a dental practice and deal with patients day-to-day. This book is different. The authors have many decades of both academic and clinical experience and have set out to produce a clear, impartial, and rational text to address new concepts and techniques that affect daily clinical practice. Treatments (including their limitations) are described, including many controversial techniques and clinical issues not previously described in the literature. The chapter layout is presented logically and in sequence to address the different specialties in an organized and contextualized way. A comprehensive background is provided to allow readers to determine for themselves – rather than be told – how to best develop a sound clinical work.

  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2009
  • ISBN : 9788536700908
  • Pages : 766 pages

Download or read book Perception written by Marco Antonio Bottino and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 766 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Perception is a highly illustrated work which focuses on metal-free, pure ceramic restorations of both natural and implant-supported teeth. Metal-free or pure ceramic prostheses already form part of the dentist’s daily routine. As with any dental material, there are advantages and disadvantages to ceramics, and these are fully discussed in the book. The author focuses not only on technical procedures available, but also on scientific advances reported in the literature. The book deals with topics related to the preparation of teeth for various types of prosthetic requirements, adhesive cementation and different aspects of bonding. Importantly, it covers aesthetics within the framework of an integrated treatment programme. Patients are increasingly concerned about, and interested in, the aesthetics of dental treatment. They want perfectly-aligned white teeth; frequently they demand that their prostheses are better than their original teeth. To meet these aesthetic demands, they need to be made aware of the various treatment options for their prostheses. With over 1700 full-colour clinical photographs, Perception provides abundant illustrative material which the dentist can use as a basis for treatment discussions with the patient. Perception equips the dentist with the skills to produce all-ceramic prostheses which will leave their patients satisfied with the aesthetic appearance of their teeth. It provides dentists with all the information they need to explore this innovative and exciting field.
