Still, I cannot deny that on the supposition that the millennium is to be an universal reign of righteousness, much would incline me to believe in the personal advent. In the first place, there is, in my mind, great force in the argument that, to a triumphant church, the Scriptures of the New Testament would be in a great measure inapplicable.
