Xose A. Padilla García es profesor titular en la Universidad de Alicante. Es miembro del grupo de investigación Val. Es.Co. (Valencia. Español coloquial) y su investigación se ha centrado principalmente en el estudio del orden de palabras en la conversación coloquial y en el análisis de fenómenos fonopragmáticos como el tono irónico. Es profesor de fonética española en el Máster Universitario en Español e Inglés L2/LE de la Universidad de Alicante.
