Unknown to both women, he makes each of them feel that she is the most beautiful woman he has ever seen which make them feel better about themselves, with his false flattery and sexual prowess. By the end of the week, and unknown to each other, both women have fallen in love and planned a new life with Marcello back home. But disaster strikes when they find him out.
