This book was released on 1999 with total page 116 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: LE SYSTEME DYNAMIQUE ETUDIE EST FORME D'UNE EQUATION DE NAVIER-STOKES EN DIMENSION 2 COUPLEE A UNE INEQUATION AUX DERIVEES PARTIELLES NON LINEAIRES DE TYPE DIFFUSION SOUS CERTAINES CONDITIONS AUX LIMITES DONNEES. POUR CHAQUE PROBLEME PENALISE, ON PROUVE DES THEOREMES D'EXISTENCE, D'UNICITE ET DE REGULARITE. PAR PASSAGE A LA LIMITE LORSQUE LE PARAMETRE DE PENALISATION TEND VERS ZERO, ON MET EN EVIDENCE L'EXISTENCE DE SOLUTIONS (DITES FAIBLES) POUR LE SYSTEME INITIAL. POUR LES DONNEES INITIALES DE TYPE FAIBLE, ON DEMONTRE, POUR CHAQUE PROBLEME PENALISE ET POUR LE PROBLEME INITIAL, L'EXISTENCE D'UN ATTRACTEUR. ON TERMINE EN PROUVANT LA SEMI-CONTINUITE SUPERIEURE DE LA FAMILLE D'ATTRACTEURS ASSOCIES A L'APPROXIMATION DU PROBLEME INITIAL.

Book Interaction and Market Structure

Download or read book Interaction and Market Structure written by Domenico Delli Gatti and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2000-03-27 with total page 312 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a collection of essays which examine how the properties of aggregate variables are influenced by the actions and interactions of heterogenous individuals in different economic contexts. The common denominator of the essays is a critique of the representative agent hypothesis. If this hypothesis were correct, the behaviour of the aggregate variable would simply be the reproduction of individual optimising behaviour. In the methodology of the hard sciences, one of the achievements of the quantum revolution has been the rebuttal of the notion that aggregate behaviour can be explained on the basis of the behaviour of a single unit: the elementary particle does not even exist as a single entity but as a network, a system of interacting units. In this book, new tracks in economics which parallel the developments in physics mentioned above are explored. The essays, in fact are contributions to the analysis of the economy as a complex evolving system of interacting agents.

  • Author : Giovanni Randazzo
  • Publisher : Springer

  • Pages : 348 pages

Download or read book Sand and Gravel Spits written by Giovanni Randazzo and published by Springer. This book was released on 2015-04-16 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book draws together a series of studies of spit geomorphology and temporal evolution from around the world. The volume offers some unique insights into how these landforms are examined scientifically and how we as humans impact them, offering a global perspective on spit genesis and evolution. Spits are unique natural environments whose evolution is linked to the adjacent coast and near shore morphology, sediment supply, coastal dynamics and sea-level change. Over the past century, Global Mean Sea Level (GMSL) has risen by 10 to 20 centimetres and many coastal spits represent the first sentinel against coastal submersion. Scientific research indicates that sea levels worldwide have been rising at a rate of 3.5 millimetres per year since the early 1990s, roughly twice the average speed of the preceding 80 years. This trend, linked to global warming will undoubtedly cause major changes in spit morphology. Spits are highly mobile coastal landforms that respond rapidly to environmental change. They therefore represent a signature of past environmental change and provide a landform indicator of climate change.

Book excerpt: Chaos theory is giving scientists fresh insights into all sorts of unruly phenomena-from dripping faucets to swinging pendulums, from the vagaries of the weather to the movements of the planets, from heart rhythms to gold futures. In this collection of front-line reports, edited for the general reader, internationally recognized experts such as Ian Stewart, Robert M. May, and Benoit Mandelbrot draw on the latest research to trace the roots of chaos in modern science and mathematics.

Book Memory Evolutive Systems Hierarchy Emergence Cognition

Download or read book Memory Evolutive Systems Hierarchy Emergence Cognition written by A C Ehresmann and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2007-05-25 with total page 403 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Memory Evolutive Systems; Hierarchy, Emergence, Cognition provides comprehensive and comprehensible coverage of Memory Evolutive Systems (MEM). Written by the developers of the MEM, the book proposes a mathematical model for autonomous evolutionary systems based on the Category Theory of mathematics. It describes a framework to study and possibly simulate the structure of living systems and their dynamic behavior. This book contributes to understanding the multidisciplinary interfaces between mathematics, cognition, consciousness, biology and the study of complexity. It is organized into three parts. Part A deals with hierarchy and emergence and covers such topics as net of interactions and categories; the binding problem; and complexifications and emergence. Part B is about MEM while Part C discusses MEM applications to cognition and consciousness. The book explores the characteristics of a complex evolutionary system, its differences from inanimate physical systems, and its functioning and evolution in time, from its birth to its death. This book is an ideal reference for researchers, teachers and students in pure mathematics, computer science, cognitive science, study of complexity and systems theory, Category Theory, biological systems theory, and consciousness theory. It would also be of interest to both individuals and institutional libraries. - Comprehensive and comprehensible coverage of Memory Evolutive System - Written by the developers of the Memory Evolutive Systems - Designed to explore the common language between sciences

Book Model Based Systems Engineering with OPM and SysML

Download or read book Model Based Systems Engineering with OPM and SysML written by Dov Dori and published by Springer. This book was released on 2016-06-01 with total page 419 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), which tackles architecting and design of complex systems through the use of formal models, is emerging as the most critical component of systems engineering. This textbook specifies the two leading conceptual modeling languages, OPM—the new ISO 19450, composed primarily by the author of this book, and OMG SysML. It provides essential insights into a domain-independent, discipline-crossing methodology of developing or researching complex systems of any conceivable kind and size. Combining theory with a host of industrial, biological, and daily life examples, the book explains principles and provides guidelines for architecting complex, multidisciplinary systems, making it an indispensable resource for systems architects and designers, engineers of any discipline, executives at all levels, project managers, IT professional, systems scientists, and engineering students.
