Book Entrevista e indicadores en psicoterapia y psicoan lisis

Download or read book Entrevista e indicadores en psicoterapia y psicoan lisis written by Antonio Pérez-Sánchez and published by Xoroi Edicions. This book was released on 2019-12-04 with total page 392 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book Entrevista cl nica y psicometr a

Download or read book Entrevista cl nica y psicometr a written by María Lourdes Quiroga Etienne and published by Gedisa. This book was released on 2022-07-15 with total page 261 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book La pr ctica de la entrevista cl nica written by Massimo Recalcati and published by Pólvora Editorial. This book was released on 2022-01-01 with total page 255 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Interview and Indicators in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy

Download or read book Interview and Indicators in Psychoanalysis and Psychotherapy written by Antonio Perez-Sanchez and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2018-05-01 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The book deals with initial interviews in psychoanalysis and psychotherapy, suggesting the idea of special "indicators". These indicators relate to three main areas. Firstly, psychoanalytical understanding of initial interviews to evaluate the patient's suitability for a psychoanalytically based treatment, discussing the dynamics, aims and technique of the interview. Three areas to be explored in the interview are considered: psychopathological data; biographical data, and data arising from the interaction of the patient with the therapist in the interview itself. Secondly, part of the book is devoted to the definition and description of what the author calls "indicators" for the therapist to build a personality profile showing suitability for psychoanalytic treatment. The main theoretical bases of the book are Freud, Klein and Bion. A third part deals with the controversial issue of the differentiation between psychoanalysis and psychoanalytic psychotherapy. The specificity of psychoanalysis is defined in comparison with psychotherapy. A specific psychoanalytic method and setting may be created as well as a specific psychotherapeutic method and setting.

Book Compendio de t cnica psicoanal tica

Download or read book Compendio de t cnica psicoanal tica written by Juan Manzano and published by Herder Editorial. This book was released on 2018-10-02 with total page 154 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Harm Reduction Psychotherapy

Download or read book Harm Reduction Psychotherapy written by Andrew Tatarsky and published by Jason Aronson. This book was released on 2007-06-10 with total page 393 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This ground-breaking volume provides readers with both an overview of harm reduction therapy and a series of ten case studies, treated by different therapists, that vividly illustrate this treatment approach with a wide variety of clients. Harm reduction is a framework for helping drug and alcohol users who cannot or will not stop completely—the majority of users—reduce the harmful consequences of use. Harm reduction accepts that abstinence may be the best outcome for many but relaxes the emphasis on abstinence as the only acceptable goal and criterion of success. Instead, smaller incremental changes in the direction of reduced harmfulness of drug use are accepted. This book will show how these simple changes in emphasis and expectation have dramatic implications for improving the effectiveness of psychotherapy in many ways. From the Foreword by Alan Marlatt, Ph.D.: “This ground-breaking volume provides readers with both an overview of harm reduction therapy and a series of ten case studies, treated by different therapists, that vividly illustrate this treatment approach with a wide variety of clients. In his introduction, Andrew Tatarsky describes harm reduction as a new paradigm for treating drug and alcohol problems. Some would say that harm reduction embraces a paradigm shift in addiction treatment, as it has moved the field beyond the traditional abstinence-only focus typically associated with the disease model and the ideology of the twelve-step approach. Others may conclude that the move toward harm reduction represents an integration of what Dr. Tatarsky describes as the “basic principles of good clinical practice” into the treatment of addictive behaviors. “Changing addiction behavior is often a complex and complicated process for both client and therapist. What seems to work best is the development of a strong therapeutic alliance, the right fit between the client and treatment provider. The role of the harm reduction therapist is closer to that of a guide, someone who can provide support an

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Awakening the Dreamer: Clinical Journeys, Philip Bromberg continues the illuminating explorations into dissociation and clinical process begun in Standing in the Spaces (1998). Bromberg is among our most gifted clinical writers, especially in his unique ability to record peripheral variations in relatedness - those subtle, split-second changes that capture the powerful workings of dissociation and chart the changing self-states that analyst and patient bring to the moment. For Bromberg, a model of mind premised on the centrality of self-states and dissociation not only offers the optimal lens for comprehending and interpreting clinical data; it also provides maximum leverage for achieving true intersubjective relatedness. And this manner of looking at clinical data offers the best vantage point for integrating psychoanalytic experience with the burgeoning findings of contemporary neuroscience, cognitive and developmental psychology, and attachment research. Dreams are approached not as texts in need of deciphering but as means of contacting genuine but not yet fully conscious self-states. From here, he explores how the patient's "dreamer" and the analyst's "dreamer" can come together to turn the "real" into the "really real" of mutative therapeutic dialogue. The "difficult," frequently traumatized patient is newly appraised in terms of tensions within the therapeutic dyad. And then there is the "haunted" patient who carries a sense of preordained doom through years of otherwise productive work - until the analyst can finally feel the patient's doom as his or her own. Laced with Bromberg's characteristic honesty, humor, and thoughtfulness, these essays elegantly attest to the mind's reliance on dissociation, in both normal and pathological variants, in the ongoing effort to maintain self-organization. Awakening the Dreamer, no less than Standing in the Spaces, is destined to become a permanent part of the literature on therapeutic process and change.

Book Conscious and Unconscious Processes

Download or read book Conscious and Unconscious Processes written by Howard Shevrin and published by Guilford Press. This book was released on 1996-05-24 with total page 320 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The notion of an unconscious mental life has been subject to debate for over a century. Psychodynamic practitioners generally understand clients' consciously experienced symptoms to reflect conflict within an unconscious realm; cognitive psychologists, on the other hand, doubt the validity of this psychodynamic understanding of unconscious processes. This innovative volume attempts to bridge the theoretical gulf between the two approaches by providing objective evidence for unconscious conflict in psychopathology. Integrating psychodynamic, cognitive, and neurophysiological methods, the authors have developed an experimental model using brain wave measurements that can differentiate types of unconscious processes. Meticulously researched and clearly written, the volume provides a unique synthesis of clinical and experimental findings and blazes a new pathway for the study of brain-mind interaction. Following an introduction that outlines the organization of the volume, the authors review the theoretical contexts of psychoanalysis, cognitive psychology, and psychophysiology. The research protocols are then elaborated in sections written both for specialists and for newcomers to each discipline. Chapters describe how psychoanalytically guided clinical assessment of patients leads to hypotheses about the unconscious conflict underlying a symptom, such as phobia. These hypotheses are then used to select words that will be presented subliminally, a method currently employed by cognitive psychologists to investigate unconscious aspects of perception. A new form of signal analysis is applied to obtain brain responses to the subliminal stimuli, providing an objective measurement of dynamicallyunconscious processes. Three detailed case presentations illustrate the methodological material and help bring the findings to life. Exploring the concept of an unconscious mental life in its full depth, this groundbreaking study sheds new light on the connections between psychological and neurophysiological processes. It will inform a broad interdisciplinary audience including readers in cognitive psychology, psychoanalysis, and neuropsychology.
