Book Economics Entrepreneurship Ethics

Download or read book Economics Entrepreneurship Ethics written by Daniel R. Hogan Jr. Ph.D. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2013-06-26 with total page 394 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Economics, Entrepreneurship, Ethics, three subjects one does not often see addressed in one book. Yet upon reading and studying the different treatments, an overlap can be perceived and the interrelation of the three becomes evident for a successful business. The entrepreneur cannot live in isolation. To be successful and start, grow, and manage a profitable business with sustainability, he/she must be cognizant of all the factors that may impact (favorable and unfavorable) the business. In this regard a true internal locus-of-control, a firm belief that “if it is to be it is up to me” must exist. It is not enough to be expert in a particular line of business or trade. One must know the business-of-the-business. In so doing a working knowledge of the environment in which the business is to survive is essential. Besides the technical knowledge which may be necessary for operations, and besides the sales and marketing acumen possessed, the financial language of the business must be understood and constantly analyzed and monitored. As does the economic conditions of the market, industry, country, and the world; for all will have an effect on the future and success of the venture. Constant attention must be paid to government regulations and legislation. Ethical considerations and behavior must always be in the forefront of decision-making. In the final analysis the true entrepreneur is all alone. No matter how many key employees are hired, business partners and investors are acquired, advisors and consultants are made available, the founder and perhaps the CEO and COO for an extended period of time, can never delegate ultimate responsibility. It is therefore necessary to always be working on the business and not simply working in the business. A business person, founder, owner, manager, entrepreneur certainly does not deal with economics, entrepreneurship, and ethics in isolation. They are interwoven and necessary for every productive decision made. This book, $Economics, $Entrepreneurship, $Ethics, accompanying the others in the series, $The Entrepreneur’s Edge – Finding the Money, $The Entrepreneur’s Manager – The Business Man’s Business Plan, and $The Entrepreneur’s Guide – To Start, Grow, and Manage a Profitable Business, helps to fill the tool box necessary for every entrepreneur and business manager. “Entrepreneurship is based upon the same principles, whether the entrepreneur is an existing large institution or an individual starting his or her new venture singlehanded. The rules are pretty much the same, the things that work and those that don’t are pretty much the same, and so are the kinds of innovation and where to look for them. In every case, there is a discipline we might call Entrepreneurial Management.” Peter Drucker

Book Entrepreneurial Finance

Download or read book Entrepreneurial Finance written by Cristiano Bellavitis and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-07-23 with total page 257 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book examines the proliferation of new sources of entrepreneurial finance and how these sources have the potential to make it easier for ventures to raise capital and grow. To date, entrepreneurial finance literature has developed a rich tradition of research on venture capital and angel finance. However, the emergence of ‘new’ sources of finance – such as crowdfunding – and the limited attention paid to ‘traditional’ debt financing and financial bootstrapping offer opportunities to explore, from different points of view and theoretical perspectives, the challenges that ventures face. The objective of this book is to explore these new and traditional sources of finance; suggest how these phenomena can be better understood conceptually; and guide new ways of understanding the topic in future, especially for researchers. The introduction outlines the new sources of entrepreneurial finance, and in comparing them with more traditional sources, proposes challenges in our conceptual understanding of these new and traditional sources. The subsequent chapters deal with important topics, including looking at the way different funding sources may interact; factors that impede family firms from getting external funding; how best to succeed with equity crowdfunding by looking at pre-selection processes; considering differences in perceptions towards funding sources arising from whether entrepreneurs are native born or immigrants; factors to consider when funding specialized assets in high uncertain sectors such as biotechnology; and the internationalization of business angel activity. This book was originally published as a special issue of the Venture Capital journal.

This book was released on 2014-01-22 with total page 80 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Many of whom read this book wished they read it long time ago It's advised to read this book before taking the course of life Don't choose your specialty in life without looking to our advices This is not a magical book it's also not only to raise the morale by giving you good energy, without real solutions. This book is made on a scientific basis and a lot of experiences. Due to that, this book comes to deal directly with the source of money, we won't tell you stories, and you will find my book direct to the point with exact numbers and advices. The goal of any career is to make money, but I found nobody talk about that, companies try to promote their product service or study. So instead of talking about management, leadership, business, self-employed, be your own boss... etc., which never show us how to be financially secured, we will talk in the beginning of the book about a clear image of the sources of money, and how money works. In the last three parties of the book we will discuss how to position you there using different techniques. We will give examples of the best companies around the world their vision and how they work. In life, there are lots of real problems, but many people discover them after a couple of years, some of them don't want to discuss it because they believe it represents their failure in life. We will talk about those problems and try to avoid them, especially for the coming generation. There are many people who became wealthy by accident they don't know how it happened. Furthermore, there are many people in financial difficulty or a medium budgetary situation, the destiny took them there, and there are few who know what they are doing based on exact knowledge, which we will focus on them in the book to help you to be one of them. Someone told me I was good in my business because I'm smart, which is not always true I believe it's more about management and how we position ourselves and our businesses in the right market place. Many people discover the reason of their failure at a later age, for example; they found that they didn't do much in their financial life, comparing themselves with the people around them whom have succeeded without a clue on how he/ she didn't do as much as the others. In life, you find that many people who didn't go to school or university succeed more than others who spent all their lives in school or university- many people wonder how that happens? By the end of this book you will know the answer. Also please note we are not telling you don't study, but we want you to study with plans. Some people who have seen others who have succeeded in life will tell you that they have succeeded illegally, or it's a legacy from their parents. They say that because they are unable to succeed. I know a lot of people who started their business from scratch and lot of people who wasted their parent's wealth in record time. This book is the answer to those questions and is also a guide for you to start or modify your life in the right direction; you don't need to live arbitrarily anymore; you should have specific targets that will lead you to happiness and success. This book is an excellent way for anyone who wants to review or modify his or her life to be better, same for high school graduates before they begin university. This book does not guarantee anything, but we believe it's very important guide for your financial life success. This book won't give general advises it gives an accurate and professional way to do things using plans and numbers. Unlike other people who say if you write, "I am wealthy" 100 times it will become truth. This book will reveal hidden information from business owners.

Book Entrepreneurship and the Market Process

Download or read book Entrepreneurship and the Market Process written by Arielle John and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-12-14 with total page 206 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is the significance of entrepreneurship in an economy? Scholars have argued that when the market is viewed as a process of perpetual adjustment to various forces, and not as a set of end-state prices and quantities simply arrived at, the role of the entrepreneur comes to the fore. What then are fruitful ways to conceive of the phenomenon of entrepreneurship? How do entrepreneurs both respond to and shape larger forces in the economy? In what ways can political institutions and government regulation shape the decisions made by entrepreneurs, and their responsiveness to consumers? How does the cultural environment influence the types of opportunities that an entrepreneur will notice and act on? Finally, is entrepreneurial behavior strictly limited to activity we see in the market? This edited volume—comprised of chapters by scholars and students studying from the disciplines of sociology and economics—examines entrepreneurship theoretically and applied to various cases. It provides an overview of the economic literature on entrepreneurship and puts forth a framework for understanding the market process, as well the policy implications of government intervention and cultural considerations in the market. It will be of use to any scholars, students, practitioners or policymakers interested in entrepreneurship.
