This book was released on 2021-03-18 with total page 181 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The vibrancy of an economy depends on the constant flow of entrepreneurs who can take up challenges in business and industry. An entrepreneur is one of the important segments of economic growth. Schumpeter observes that economic development consists of employing resources in a different way in doing a new combination of means of production. He contends that economic growth depends on the rate of applied technical progress i.e. innovation rate of applied technical progress in the economic field which in turn depends on supply of entrepreneurs in society. Thus entrepreneur becomes the agent of change in society[1]. Entrepreneur’s motivations & aspirations are conducive to development. Entrepreneurial competence makes all the difference in the rate of economic growth. A broad based entrepreneurial class in India is a felt need and such an entrepreneurial class would speed up the process of activating the factors of production leading to a higher rate of economic growth dispersal of economic activities, development of backward & rural tribal areas, creation of employment opportunities, improvement in the standard of living of the weaker sections of the society and involvement of all sections of the society in the process of growth[2]. An entrepreneur plays a critical role in the process of socioeconomic change by envisaging new opportunities new techniques, new products & by coordinating all other activities.

Download or read book Entrepreneurship and Small Business written by R. C. Agarwal and published by SBPD Publishing House. This book was released on 2020-08-30 with total page 259 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Entrepreneurship is the most important instrument of social and economic development. It is because of this reason it is remarked that developing countries are not underdeveloped but undermanaged. It is true of Japan. About a century ago Japan was considered as an underdeveloped country. Thanks to the rapid progress made by Management science, now Japan is regarded as one of the most advanced countries of the world. Increasing production and productivity is the need of the hour. These are dependent upon physical factors or natural resources of a country and its human resource. However, the resources capable of enlargement can only be human resource. All other resources stand under the laws of mechanics. They can be better utilised or worse utilised but they can never have an output greater than the sum of the inputs. Man alone of all the resources available to man, can grow and develop if properly directed and motivated. In line with this thinking, there has been a revolutionary change in management philosophy. He (man) is potentially creative, trustworthy and co-operative. He is also considered to possess the potential for growth, achievement and constructive action with others. It is the job of the management to nurture and tap employee’s productive drives. Entrepreneurship, therefore, hold the key to the economic development of a nation. It is because of this reason the U.G.C.’s Unified Syllabus has included the study of business management subject in almost every course in business and management disciplines, be it B. Com., M. Com., B.B.A. or M.B.A., C.A.C.S., C.W.A. and so on. The author has tried to explain the subject in the most simple language. Extensive use of charts, pictures and diagrams has been made to explain and illustrate the difficult concepts and Fundamentals of Entrepreneurship. Important questions asked in the examinations conducted by various universities and professional institutes have been given at the end of each chapter. The authors sincerely believe that the book will be of immense use and help the students preparing for these examinations.

This book was released on 2019-01-01 with total page 520 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME) have been playing an important role in the overall economic development of a country like India, where millions of people are unemployed or underemployed. The economic development of any country primarily depends upon the establishment of industries. MSME sector comprises 95 per cent of the total industrial units in the country. The hunt for funding has been the bane of an entrepreneur’s existence from times of yore. Many abandon their dream to build, create, and innovate in the face of this difficult struggle without realising that a good business idea will eventually pool in the bounty-full once it has secured a place in the market. Your idea will bring you your company, your company will bring you the people, and the people will bring you the market. A good idea has no monetary value, just a whole lot of bursting potential. Today, the World's most successful entrepreneurs like Dhiru Bhai Ambani and Karsanbhai Patel – Man behind NIRMA may hold the possibility of building pyramids out of notes, but none of them started at the top of the ladder. Facebook was created out of a Harvard dorm room at minimal cost and Microsoft was formed two years after Gates decided to drop out of college. For an entrepreneur starting out, it makes good business sense to avoid ideas that require high capital investment in equipment, land, etc. Venturing into the manufacturing business requires to divide time and effort between making business plan, creating the product, and selling. It is best to venture into product areas that requires small to medium investment, which can be returned within few years. If one want to start off on his own, this book provides some manufacturing business ideas with small and medium investment. The major contents of the book are India Government Loan Schemes for Small Scale Businesses, Government Support for Innovation and Entrepreneurship in India, Pradhan Mantri Mudra Yojana, Packaging and Labeling, Products Packaging, Marketing, Onion Dehydration, Garlic Dehydration, Onion Pickle, Onion Chutney, Garlic Oil, Onion Powder, Ginger Oil, Ginger Powder, Ginger Paste, Tomato Pulp, Tomato Paste, Tomato Ketchup, Tomato Powder, Disposable Blood Bags, Disposable Masks, Disposable Surgical Catheters, Disposable Plastic Syringes, Plastic Cups, Disposable Banana Leaf Plate, Facial Tissue & Baby Wet Wipes, Urea Formaldehyde Resin Adhesive, Toothpaste Production, Gypsum Board, Surgical Absorbent Cotton, Glass Fibre, Complex Fertilizers, Activated Carbon from Wood, Biscuits, Candy, Chocolates, Milk Powder, Instant Noodles, Khakhra, Soft Drinks, Spices and Sample Plant Layouts. Download or read book Sustaining Entrepreneurship and Economic Growth written by Max Keilbach and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2008-11-13 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Academic research on developed countries has scientifically evaluated the role of entrepreneurship on economic growth, market expansion, commercializing innovation, and reducing unemployment. In this research, regions or industries with higher rates of entrepreneurship show higher levels of innovation and economic growth. The literature on entrepreneurship and innovation has largely ignored developing countries, despite the positive results from new venture investments in India, China, and elsewhere. This volume bridges this gap by bringing together research by scholars in Germany and India, whose analysis of entrepreneurship, innovation, and economic development in their respective countries reveals commonalities. Covering such timely issues as R&D and labor policies and including case examples from the chemical, biotech, and IT industries, the authors offer insight into the entrepreneurial process. The volume concludes with a discussion of the global implications for entrepreneurship research and policy.
