Download or read book Fostering Pedagogical Innovation Through Effective Instructional Design written by Khaldi, Mohamed and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2024-01-10 with total page 492 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There have been seismic shifts recently occurring in the realm of education. There is an important transition from a focus on "qualification" to "competence" in the world of work, and the need to equip educators with the skills and methodologies required to meet these changing demands has never been greater. The role of a teacher can no longer be a static practitioner, but rather a dynamic decision-maker, ready to shape developing minds. Fostering Pedagogical Innovation Through Effective Instructional Design is an expansive research book that delves deep into the intricate art of teaching, emphasizing that pedagogy is not a one-size-fits-all endeavor. This scholarly work asserts that effective teaching is rooted in understanding context and a relentless commitment to refining one's instructional practices. The book introduces an array of critical parameters that educators must consider, including content selection, learner needs, and the ever-evolving realm of information and communication technologies. It navigates the reader through the intricacies of andragogy, the theoretical foundations of didactics, and innovative pedagogical approaches, offering a comprehensive toolkit for educators striving to optimize their craft.

Book Enseigner l histoire un m tier qui s apprend

Download or read book Enseigner l histoire un m tier qui s apprend written by Jacqueline Le Pellec and published by FeniXX. This book was released on 1991-01-01T00:00:00+01:00 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Culture as a Vocation

Download or read book Culture as a Vocation written by Vincent Dubois and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2015-10-30 with total page 166 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Vocational occupations are attractive not so much for their material rewards as for the prestige and self-fulfillment they confer. They require a strong personal commitment, which can be subjectively experienced in terms of passion and selflessness. The choice of a career in the cultural sector provides a good example of this. What are the terms of this calling? What predisposes individuals to answer it? What are the meanings of such a choice? To answer these questions, this book focuses on would-be cultural managers. By identifying their social patterns, by revealing the resources, expectations and visions of the world they invest in their choice, it sheds new light on these occupations. In these intermediary and indeterminate social positions, family heritages intersect with educational strategies, aspirations of upward mobility with tactics against downward mobility, and social critique with adjustment strategies. Ultimately the study of career choices in cultural management suggests a new take on the analysis of social reproduction and on the embodiment of the new spirit of capitalism. The empirical findings of this research conducted in France are set in a broader comparative perspective, at the European level and with the USA.

Book Representation in Religion

Download or read book Representation in Religion written by Jan Assmann and published by BRILL. This book was released on 2018-08-14 with total page 384 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The role of representation in religion is complex. While often perceived as essential, it is also associated in many traditions with the liability of idolatry and provokes iconoclasm. The essays in this volume examine the nuances of representation in religion and the debate concerning its place across a variety of traditions from the three Abrahamic faiths, to those of antiquity and the East. This volume consists of presentations made at an international conference held in honor of Moshe Barasch, art historian and cultural critic, who has done much to elucidate the light which representation and religion shed on each other. It pays tribute to Barasch by expanding the base of understanding and insight he has erected. It should be of interest to students of religion and of art history.
