Trata de hacer una reflexión, a la vez que busca propuestas alternativas de enseñanza-aprendizaje, sobre una de las tareas comúnmente puesta en práctica en la enseñanza de la Física: la resolución de problemas. Parece existir un consenso en que, a pesar del esfuerzo y del tiempo que se invierten en esta actividad, los resultados que se obtienen son poco satisfactorios. Se comienza por analizar las principales características de la resolución de problemas en cursos introductorias de Física (primeros cursos de universidad), para a continuación proponer posibles estrategias de enseñanza que puedan mejorar los resultados de aprendizaje actuales, tanto en lo referente a contenidos declarativos como procedimentales de la Física. El análisis y propuestas que se realizan están contextualizados en múltiples ejemplos de problemas de Física.
