Además que cuando fué escrita la mayor parte de esos trabajos, no estaba, como hoy, constituida la accion agronómica, ni sus autores reunían el caudal de conocimientos en las ciencias naturales, físicas y químicas, que tanto ha ser vido al Sr. Reynoso para llevar a cabo sus importantes investigaciones sobre la caña de azúcar.
